Shimreishāng- Khararchān hiwui khamataiya mipha̱ na. Khalāknao kala Zimik shangnaowui Amei-Khararna. Vāhongnao- Maitonphili leishi haida āwui leikashi maungshung thuwa.
Maitonphi: Ngalā khamathā, Lungleng ngālanao. Shimreishāng ali leishi, kha Vāhongnao sāhaoda Khalāknaoli mangakumpai thuda āshi shimkhurna mi khangateili fa̱thui ngasak haowa.
[Maitonphi (Aton) and Shimreishang (Ashang) share an enthralling Tangkhul Naga community folktale, believed to be an authentic love story dating back to the 17th century. Aton belonged to the Lungleng clan (lowest clan ) and was the daughter of a widow. On the other hand, Ashang was the cherished son of the wealthy Zimikwo family. However, their blossoming love faced a formidable challenge as Ashang's parents opposed their union due to their disparate social standings. Despite the obstacles, their relationship deepened. One day, Aton's mother shattered Ashang's hopes, as he learned that Maitonphi had been wed to Pansa, a man from the neighboring village, Hallang. Devastated yet undeterred, as suggested by Aton, he embarked on a journey to reclaim his beloved...]
