The man gave us 3 whole seasons of Ash, despite his age, Bruce agreed to be thrown nasty shit and blood in his face again and again for us. I am very grateful that we got 3 seasons of a character who wasn't that popular in the first place. This show was GROOVY

Brother Nero I’d imagine that season 4 would have had Ash defeating the Dark Ones and returning back to modern time. I have a feeling it would’ve been half split between the Ghostbeaters in the present, and Ash in the future. That, or they were also cryogenically preserved and taken to the future. Either way, pretty sure he gets back to them eventually.

Its an ok ending but there was still so much plot unfinished that thats why i dont feel it like complete end... Buy i would have loved the ending to be like this ash kicking ass but with completed plots

I couldn't agree more guys. I loved this ending. Especially when you look at the first two evil dead films and how dark they are. Ash just became comfortable with who he is, the defender of mankind. I like that it didn't really end, somewhere through space and time he's still out there doing crazy future drugs, banging girls, making bad jokes, and kicking evils ass! It'll never end. It reminds me of a quote " If you stare into the darkness long enough, sometimes it stares back" Well darkness, sometimes it's Ashley Williams and he doesn't give a fuck!!!!

Well the way this ended could set up for a spin off in the present with Pablo Kelly and Brandy fighting evil back where the show ended before Ash was taken away the show could follow them trying to fight evil on Earth and wondering what happened to Ash and maybe for the final episode of spinoff they could find out that Ash is still alive and they could go and rescue him I'm sure Bruce would come back one last time is Ash as long as he don't need to do anything really physical because I know it was taking a toll on him but just for them to rescue him and bring him back just to hear him and the show One Last Time saying groovy would be amazing

This show did the unthinkable and had 2 absolutely perfect season finishes. Season 2 ended brilliantly that 3 probably wasn't even needed but 3 was just as fantastic and the final episode is absolute perfection as a finale.

Even though there's no season 4 happening, I thought season 3 ended on a high note and was great closure to the series. Maybe someday we may get a 4th movie or a comic book series to continue everything. At least we can be thankful the series didn't end with season 2's ending.

lpallad1 True but you have to remember money talks bullshit walks. Just like Daniel Craig who said he wasn’t coming back for Bond 25, the movie company forked over 25 million and now he’s back. You never know we’ll see what happens. Bruce Campbell said in an article the other day he’s going to voice ash in the new evil dead video game that’s being worked on and some of the cast members are coming back for that

Bro I'm here RIGHT NOW. I decided to watch every single Evil Dead movie and just finished the show. I loved all of it, and I was so bummed we weren't getting a continuation of this ending. It's so perfect how it ties into the original idea behind Army of Darkness' ending. But apparently that animated continuation IS still in the works. I really hope they get a talented animation studio on it and give us a sick conclusion to Ash's story. For now though, at least, this is as groovy as it gets.

As much as I’m upset to have seen S4 cancelled, it was likely for the best. Bruce has said that playing Ash put him in physical pain as he got older and so for him to be in even more pain probably would’ve ruined playing Ash for him completely, though it’s very clear that playing Ash has a special place in his heart. Gonna miss this show icl.

At the very least we can be happy it didn't turn to shit. 3 seasons of solid entertainment is an achievement. I love the Walking Dead, but if I ever had to rewatch it all the way through there are parts during which I'd go and make a sandwich, but this is 30 A+ episodes of awesome Evil Dead action, the writing never fell apart, the acting was top quality throughout, the dialogue was fantastic, and it was always funny! As annoying as it is that we're never gonna see the rest, I don't mind. I doubt it would've turned shit, but I'm glad it stopped before it got the chance to

i guess i'm the in the minority but even though it was obviously not planned i do think this is the perfect ending to the show. basically combining both endings of army of darkness to give of the perfect conclusion to the character of Ash Williams. its all of the heart of his character with the most open ended ending you could image. what happens next? i don't really care.

Since Bruce doesn't want to portray ash on screen anymore (I can't blame him, making these kinds of movies really does take a mental and physical toll.) I would love for an open world Mad Max type game just with Ash versus hordes of deadlines, voices by Bruce of course. A man can dream.

It's kind of funny when you think about it. Raimi wanted Evil Dead 2 to be the medieval movie but studios wouldn't allow it, so he wrote it into the ending so that Army of Darkness would have to be that. He wanted Army of Darkness to end with Ash over sleeping and ending up in a future apocalypse where he would lead an army of robots but again the studio wouldn't allow it. And now this ending makes it so that the next thing has to be that.

I don’t care what anybody says, this was a fantastic ending for the Evil Dead series as well as a great send off for the Ash Williams character. Most Evil Dead movies/games/media have comically dark and horrific situations for the ending and as far as those go, this was essentially a “happy ending” for Ash.

I just wish they could have shown pablo and kelly, and his daughter just to make some closure about all of them still being together on their new adventure. It would really be bad ass to see them together in that car, all of them saying "Groovy!!!" one last time.

There's a few ways this can be fixed. A comic, an added series of missions and/or new desert map to Evil Dead: The Game with new deadite variants and survivors (Brandy, and Lexx), or season 4 can have Campbell's Ash somehow encounter another variant of himself and that variant can carry through the series.

Honestly its a great ending I would've loved season 4, but we all have to face it, there will be no season 4.. It still was the grooviest show ever...

it truly was a groovy show and will always love all the seasons. But leaving us on a cliff hanger like that at the end without any hope of continuation is *never* cool. I still been wanting a 4th season.

After the success of Evil Dead Rise, Bruce said that although he was pretty sure he was done with Ash, he said: "If Sam Raimi came to me and said, _'I, Sam Raimi, will direct Evil Dead 4, and I want Bruce Campbell to star',_ I'd think about it."

I'm pretty certain Campbell has made it clear he is done being Ash in live action as he simply cannot do it anymore physically. He has been very vocal about doing voice work for any other versions of Ash in say the games or animated versions of the evil dead. Otherwise, he is done.

Fantastic ending to the series, but if it ever gets a revival (I can dream, can’t I?) this doubles as a great intro to what would undoubtedly be a badass season.

Shame that it had to end, but such is the way of life. I for one am glad to have been able to watch it and enjoy it for what it is. It's definitely unlike anything else on tv and I couldn't recommend it enough.

As a Fan of all the original evil Deads, ARmy and even the remake i loved & preferred this show over any of them. Respect to the originals but this show was perfection. Glad Ash went out on top

I'm completely satisfied with the ending. I'm sure everyone had a blast filming this show, and this was the best possible outing they could've had. Combining both endings of AoD together. If you don't think it's for the best, imagine if the next season happened. You would've got a CGI sand bath, combining Terminator (post-3) and Resident Evil. Sure, the more Ash the better. But what would they have done for the better? Our imagination is the best thing we can use to write Season 4. IMO but optimistic.
