Same here. As a young kid in the early 2000s, I listened to this song not having a clue what it was about. Now as a man in his 30s, it makes me tear up for all the people (women, men, and non-binary alike) who are abused by the very person who is supposed to love them the most. I’m lucky that my boyfriend isn’t abusive and that I have never been in an abusive relationship, but physical, emotional, and/or psychological abuse can happen to anyone. If someone out there reads this comment and is experiencing abuse from their partner, know that someone out there loves you and that while leaving your abuser can be really difficult, no one deserves abuse and we all deserve love. And abuse is NOT love no matter what your abuser tells you.

Exactly right, TY! Beautiful, intelligent, creative; she had some of the best collabs back in the day too. Don't understand why these kids from Tiktok are so popular. Who cares if some random can make up a simple 15 second dance & then upload it? Makes NO sense. Rap and R&B was sooo freakin good back in the 90's & 2000's. Best collabs, beats, hooks, singers × rappers to date. Plus, Rock was still alive & kickin'! Then it all started going downhill around the late 00s/early 2010's. You are wrong about music 20 years ago, it was still good, maybe not as good as anything before 2000s though. All music started dying somewhere in the mid 2000s and by 2015 it became COMPLETE GARBAGE. I'm 36.. Also even though this video is based on Goodfellas, it's still well done by Irv Gotti. the mesmerize video and song sucked.

Yeap. So true or stay single. Way to many narcs. are running around wearing their fake mask. We all have to be careful and know the signs. I have found for myself that if someone is mean and hateful, and has mood swings. They become easily irritable, agitated, and frustrated with you, interrupts and talks over you, their opinion is always right and your opinion is downplayed and made fun of. They are very controlling and you feel like you are walking on egg shells never knowing when they will go off, they are very critical of you. They are are toxic, verbally abusive, threatening, you question your safety and you can not get in a word edge wise, and they exhibit bullying behavior you are in the throws of dealing with a narcissist.
