You can do the standard Ashe follow up (1 hip fire, 1 scoped) and get a similar result, yes. However y'all missing the point, this is about the SPEED, this method is by far faster than the standard combo and you can insta kill any oblivious squishy or support. Oh, also try this VS tanks... As someone who plays Ashe frequently, I noticed this bug but, never would I have thought it would be game breaking.

I got blessed with this recommendation. Time to have a bit of fun before this gets noticed.

At first I thought it was useless, but if you do that and the Unscope you can get a 3 fast shoots that actually turns it into a lot of DPS. You can even kill a Bastion if you hit all of the headshots. Nice find!

if you keep punching and hold down right click and spam left click you can do some crazy 2 shot combos

alright so, what i think is happening is that the melee has enough frames to the animation that you can buffer regular shot and scope at the same time, shooting then instantly scoping and shooting again and somehow that makes you shoot twice really fast

This has actually been in the game the whole time, I’ve been doing it lmao, it’s easiest on controller in my opinion, I play pc as well

The first shot actually counts as a quick shot, not a scope shot, so you can do this much more easily if you quick shot and quickly hold scope and shoot again.

You can do this by just shooting hipfire and aiming immediately then shooting. I'm pretty sure they are the same speed.

It's been in the game for a while, what happens is, you animation cancel the unaimed left click and then aim click and due to the animation cancel it is faster than usual.

Pretty cool. Maybe not the most useful tech but it could be useful to burst damage tanks if you have a headshot lined up. Or maybe a lucky instakill if you line up a headshot to anyone else

I think if you do it without the melee it's practically quicker and also I'm pretty sure I have seen people do it on the Overwatch league so I don't feel like it's a bug or at least I haven't noticed that it's quicker with our without the melee

I figured this out literally the day she came out only because I have a habit of pressing the melee button consistently. I didn’t think much of it and thought everyone knew about it already and just didn’t care 😂 I’m pretty sure both shots don’t do zoom in damage tho. Just on shot does. Your better off just doing a regular shot and then an instant zoom in shot. It’s the same thing but easier and faster to pull off successfully.

I actually find this by accident, to cancel reload animation. clickin 250hp heads is fun

this has been in the game since she launched, its because you can shoot unscoped shots very quickly, if you do an unscoped shot into a scoped shot it carries the fire rate. very impractical in games though. I've tested it a lot myself lol

Dude this is the same for all characters basically, if u shoot before melee the shot afterwards will be slower, just like Hog Shoot + melee + (slow delay) shoot + scope Shoot melee + (no delay bascially) shoot + scope Shoot

Theres also one that i can occasionally do that shoots a second bullet without taking it out the mag

I discovered this quite a long ago… I think it is just how buffering works. Just like that thing of two areal jumps on Genji, probs never gonna be patched

since the punch takes so much time its probably not effective in any way unless you are not good at doing hip fire ads quickly, then it could be a pretty good way to burst someone standing still i guess

Don't need melee to pull it off. Just simply a non-scoped followed by a scope shot. While normal shot is going off you can scope and shoot.

This is pretty sick, reminds me of the doubleshot bug in borderlands 2!

U rally can do it without melee or hold, just 1 shot without scoop then 1 shot with scoop but do it fast

This can also happen if you lag slightly on pc. It will fire 2 shots

Happens on widow too sometimes wich is insane but can't really be triggered volontaraly. I didn't try really hard but i don't see the pattern for widow

this is literally just an ads, and a hip fire together. same speed no matter which order you do them so just skip the melee

Happens with cree as well, game just laggs on mccree 2 shots fire u only lose 1 but u get double damage

I have a glitch where I believe it’s my controller’s fault but once in a while when I shoot while aimed only with widow, it does a double shot. Like I’ll do the fully charged and a non charged but still scoped in shot litterally within frames of eachother. To my knowledge this shouldn’t be possible because her shots have a delay in between them

Im pretty sure you can do the same without meleeing just shoot unscoped and then scope in. Its not really a bug and the melee is most likely useless. I am not sure however if you get it as fast but i wouldnt bother doing the melee cuz then you have to wait for the melee animation

You don't need melee. Press the SHOOT and ADS buttons at the same time but keep holding ADS and spamming SHOOT

This isn't a bug. You can replicate the same speed and damage by shooting unscoped and then shooting scoped. Adding the melee at the beginning only makes getting the timing easier, but if you simply just practice for about 2 minutes you can easily get perfect timing without putting yourself into an animation lock of mele. You can also get two successive shots with the same damage and speed by first shooting a scoped shot and then shooting an unscoped shot.

Question, its not the same thing as doing a normal shot and then a scoped shot? Bcoz then the only thing that happens is the melee animation over it

Although this is cool, I don't see how it's practical unless you're up against another sniper, peeking around a corner or are targeting someone at point blank. The overall time comparison between the melee and two shots and taking two scoped shots are about the same. It's kinda like using the ana melee animation cancel during reload; it seems faster on paper but in practice you don't gain any real value out of it. Still cool though.

I can see why it would be a problem but at the same time by the time you do this you basically shot two shots anyways
