Does anyone kinda want to just cringe and sit mouthing the words to 'digging a hole' whenever the interaction involves Jin Mi? She's only like 4000 (and a bit) years, compared to like everyone else. Clearly she is oblivious about anything, but how come scheming schemers can't get that fact and get every other one? Like... Part of me is mentally Jin Mi and thinking 'they aren't too bright!'. I probably should hop off the comments and start watching the full episodes to prepare for a potential season 2.

Phoenix Moon For me the this was the worst stage of the story. It was so intolerable that I had to skip it for the mortal realm episodes. I just wanted to pull my hair out because it was like can someone act sensible, and I had all my faith in water immortal but he was just another dumbo. The guy found out his love the mother of his child was raped and tortured to death and his daughter mentality is of a child because of a pill but yeah it is a good idea to get her married into the most evil family, she will be safe with them won’t she. I know people say the story wouldn’t go anywhere if there is no engagement. I disagree I think if water immortal cancels the engagement it would have given more of a legitimate excuse for runyu to go evil. I do most feel sorry for jinmi she is betrayed by everyone, her guardians raise her in a prison kneecapping her ability to physically and emotionally grow, her identity is a lie, even her powers are sealed away, her mother steals her right to chose her life, her father doesn’t understand her thinks he is helping her but throws her to the wolves, runyu is on a revenge fantasy mission using her as a pawn to fulfill his mommy issues, even xufeng can’t stand up for her against his parents misdeeds and fails to understand her torment.

@@maragathm I understand what you're saying, it gets frustrating sometimes. But then, you have to remember Water Immortal thought that Jinmi likes Runyu too. He was hesitant with the engagement at first, but Runyu manipulated Jinmi to say she likes him for Water Immortal to hear even though Jinmi doesn't really understand what she's saying. Even though Water Immortal hates that family, why would he break the two lovers apart exactly like what happened to him and Floral Goddess? Even on the latter part, Water Immortal was still asking Jinmi whom she really likes and confirming if she's totally sure of her decision. He just want his daughter to be happy and to be with the person she loves.

@@maragathm I think there needs to be a family and interfamily (is that the word) therapy done, as well as couples counselling and individual therapy for all of them. I just hope the therapist is a good one, not biased (except to individual safety and wellbeing), and not scheming!

Well....to this day i still think that Run Yu should get Jin Mi rather than Xu Feng....there is a lot of things that Jin Mi should consider about before accepting Xu Feng.... 1) Xu Feng's father rape Jin Mi's mother 2) Xu Feng's mother is the reason behind Jin Mi's mother death 3) Xu Feng's mother is the one who instigated the peacock lady to killed Jin Mi's father and her kind stepmother 4) Xu Feng can't even protect or defend Jin Mi when she being harrased by his mother 5) Xu Feng alway get all he want since kid compared to Run Yu....attention, love and stuffs 6) Run Yu never being selfish, help and support Xu Feng in every corner, he just being selfish about wanting Jin Mi, who actually his fiancee since birth 7) Compared to Xu Feng, Run Yu help Jin Mi a lot of time and defend and protect her from Xu Feng's mother everytime Jin Mi got harrased 8) Run Yu's mother suffered the same like Jin Mi's mother and eventually killed by Xu Feng's mother too when Run Yu were just about to reunite with his real mother 9) and when Jin Mi stab him because of misunderstanding, he almost died but Jin Mi suffer much more greater and use everything she can to save Xu Feng, even exchange her sight to save Xu Feng which result her color blindness that very important for a Flora Immortal....yet Xu Feng just sulking away and tortured her heart instead just to vent his own heart.... I vote Run Yu from the start.....if Jin mi spend a time with her father and stepmother more, training to be flora immortal, be strong and serve the Flora Realm as her mother did and it is her duty actually......gain more experience and get rid of Yun Elixir and think about love later......everyone will have at least a satisfying ending...... But no, she prefer think more about love and Xu Feng think more about what his heart want rather than what best for Jin Mi and Run Yu who being selfish for once to the extend of going so low in everything just to get Jin Mi........the only one i feel the most is about Water Immortal who just trying to be a good father, yet lost his life........urrrggghhh this is upsetting me again~~

@@khawlatabassum7030 actually the plot, the storyline, the acting, the CGI, the happy ending, the eye-candy is actually superb.....one of the best drama that make almost all the character is perfectly described in detail on their emotion and growth..... Majority of the actors and actresses in this drama upgrade their skill and name through this drama and the female lead Yang Zi, male lead Denglun and 2nd male lead Luo Yunxi make their name soar high with this drama..... It does play your emotion a lot especially when you feel the distressed of the 2nd male lead (Run Yu) that from the most dignify and benevolence person to the lowest of the low creature just because he want to be selfish just for once in his life...... While the male lead (Xu Feng), who always get what he want, become the most known war commander and always get the attention, drop from that high place and suffered hard from the fall just because of his dilemma in choosing to side with his cruel mother or to protect his life savior and his love......well, that's a really hard choice to be chosen actually, between birthmother who love you and give you everything but control you life and the girl who save you, love you but lost her mother, her father and her kind stepmother because of his mother..... And the female lead (Jin Mi) who look kinda slow, innocent and dumb but actually can't feel love at all for half of the story because of the seal that her mother put on her soul (so that she can't feel love and suffer because of it) and she grow her emotion and power when the seal crack little by little from the love and effort of male lead Xu Feng...... It just my personal opinion about the 2nd male lead who didn't get the girl he want and stay alone until the end....but it also the price he need to pay for going astray in effort to get the girl....... So yeah, its actually recommended to watch and its also win win situation where everyone got what they want but need to pay a price for that......all the character pay a big price but its happy ending after all.....so watch it~~

She's also detached from love due to Yun Dan(Unfeeling pill) her mother fed her since birth. That's why she doesn't know anything about the concept of love. Plus, 4k yrs. old immortal is estimated to be at least 16-17 yrs. old in mortal realm, she's still young and innocent since she grew up locked in Water Mirror that limits her knowledge of the outside world. (Also, according to the novel, Xu Feng and Run Yu was 15,000 + yrs old already. Their age gaps are really big). Her innocence came from a big background and reasons, we should look for the bigger picture of the story first before being pissed off by the character.
