I just love this duo. They are such real people and so talented! I was recently in Manhattan and walked up and down Central Park West. Knowing that is where Nick first conceived "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" gives that walk I took a special meaning now. R.I.P. Nick. 🧡

Love this couple. One of the under rated duo though and it's a pity.

Had the pleasure of meeting him didn't take a picture I regret that the couple next to me bought a portable camera and took pictures with him. That wasn't the first time I met him and Valerie so in my mind said I was saying I'll see him again not knowing what was about to occur.

Really Travis, did you really have to use the "N" word. Smh.

Didn't he say 'negroe'?? That is not officially the n word. I thought it was funny, and enjoyed the familiarity they shared. Great interview.

Tavis Smiley did say he went to a Pentecostal church. No sense fakin' the feelin' of the statement.

I feel Nick fought his issues and lived his life according to the word of God. He had a beautiful loving wife in Valerie who helped him be strong enough to resist temptations. A truly talented couple and people of faith.
@dadevi3 жыл бұрын
What temptations? What are you even talking about?
@septemberjanuary46363 жыл бұрын
You were a personal friend? Why ya'll still confusing manner of dress with sexuality. Two different things. You"feel" should be kept to yourself, unless you slept with him or have some other form of receipts. Stop besmirching peoples legacy with unproven allegations gleaned from tv images and second-hand crafted articles.
@anthonycbrown19523 жыл бұрын
I have never seen a story recounted where Nick disrespected his wife or children. Couples are unique in how they navigate the world and I am 100% sure Valerie knew her husband 110%. I would not dare assume to know the extent of their relationship but throughout the decades Nick was authentic in-self.

@@septemberjanuary4636 Discovering or speculating that a person is gay or bisexual doesn't "besmirch" that person's reputation.
@sandraatkins25393 жыл бұрын
@@dadevi I was wondering the same thing. Just because Mr. Ashford was a gorgeous, refined, mega-talented gentleman, doesn't imply anything negative to me.
