Kevin B My church is currently encouraging people to read their Bibles. They printed out some reading plans so anyone could come and take a copy for themselves. I’m now reading the Bible for the first time with the chronological plan. I never really thought I’d be doing it. In the past I’d be intimidated by the thought of trying to read the Bible. It’s just so much to read, so much to try to remember. But God has been calling me to read the Bible for a while now, so here I am. It helps that I finally found a translation that’s easy for me to understand.

Unfortunately that is so true my friend. The more that we study, the more knowledge that we will gain and the Holy Spirit will guide us in what we will say when telling others about Christ. :)

@@kundaimbelengwa4545 it's a sad story. He had been in the hospital at that writing because he had been hit by a car, his body flew up in the air, came down and was then run over by a pick up truck. We were pleading for his life...and our prayers were answered. But his pain was great. He reached age and left home. He became addicted to alcohol and then drugs. We all tried to help him...get him what he needed. He refused. He is now in another state where he assaulted his boss and was committed to the hospital. Again ...trying to get him help...still refusing. Neurologist thinks that it has a lot to do with his brain damage. He needs lots and lots of prayer. We are looking for him to be a prodigal grandson.

I shared my faith with my mother and after many months of preaching to her, I finally realized that praying can be more important at times. She still believes in the universe, and prays to it. There's only so much we as finite beings can do by ourselves. God is in control and we must learn to trust in HIM. God bless.

Hi Graci. Pray that God will show her the truth. Also pray he will give her a desire to know the truth about Him above all the lies and beyond all the confusion of the world's view that is out there. If she knows you are a bible believing born again christian , she is no doubt watching you and making mental notes, possibly without realising. I grew up Catholic. It's what I did. I could name the people who God put in my life prior to salvation, who pointed me towards Jesus because of the way they lived. They were there when I had questions, and surprised when I asked stuff. Nobody preached at me. However, nobody hid their light from me either. I knew there was something different about these otherwise ordinary fellow uni students. Take courage. God will give you the right words at the right time. Show her your Bible, especially if it has highlights and notes like Ashley's. That is a surprise to the Catholic mind, where it is raised to the status of a holy museum piece. Nuns and priests have one, not ordinary lay people.... God bless you. God is mighty to save. 🤗

It’s okay to say “I don’t know”. It makes you more real and honest. Best advice I have is to stick to what you know from scripture and what you know to be true about God. Take the pressure off!

There are a lot of things that nobody has the answer to but that is ok! We are not meant to know everything and there are some things we may learn as we go through the journey of life with God.

That's great! And, as you keep reading his word and maturing in it, slowly you will find answers. If you don't have the answer, it's actually OK to say. "I honestly don't know, but I'm trusting that Jesus has the answers I don't." It proves faith, and is totally in opposition to our world which if focused around evidence and physical proofs. It also helps you to avoid accidentally giving the wrong information. It's hard to admit we don't know all, yet it's a bold step of letting go! 'Control' by Tenth Avenue North helps me so much with this topic too. I give my answers over to God, and trust his sovereign control over my very weak words. Excited to see you in paradise :)
