BharatPe is going down - that's what Ashneer Grover, co-founder of the company has said.
He recently gave a warning to all the investors of 12% Club to be aware of the platform.
Is this true? Or is it some kind of doglapan happening in the company?
Watch this video till the end to know what you should do.

Folks, I understand that without risk there is no return. But, the risk should be taken in accordance with the expected return. If the goal is to just make 12%, you can accomplish that by doing safe(er) investing via NIFTY 50 or any Indian Index. In case you would like to learn more about safe ways of investing, check out: ►My stock market course (comes with 1 year community access), here: wisdomhatch.com/stock-market/ _______________________________________________________ ►I talk about in depth macroeconomics correlated to stock market movement on KZfaq member community here: kzfaq.info/love/qW8jxh4tH1Z1sWPbkGWL4g _______________________________________________________ ►Many of you have asked me for resources on US Stock Investing, Seeking Alpha is a great platform for research that I use: www.sahg6dtr.com/236BJZQ/R74QP/ _______________________________________________________

One thing is being missed by everyone here. BharatPe doesn't provide loan to everyone, it only provides to those shopkeepers who are doing good amount of transactions since many months and can easily repay the loan with interest. And those transactions are analysed by BharatPe's powerful tools which reduces the risk of NPA at a very great extent.

I invested almost 2.5 lakhs.. Bharatpe gave me everyday interest ... and I used to draw the everyday interest and re invest in it.. they also gave me compound interest on that amount... but I have done this for 4 months.. they never defaulted the amount and gave exact 12 percentage... but I have taken all the money because I think it's risk.. and I got almost 5percentage of net interest... for 4 months.

1. P2P is small amount loans 2. Personal loan also don't have collaterals 3. If a person don't get loan from anywhere then where he will go?? Better to pay more and get from such platforms rather than asking from relatives and friends. 4. Risk is there everywhere. If you walk on a footpath - it is also risky, that doesn't mean we stop going out from home I have been Investing here since 2 years. I am getting a fair average of 11% from all the platforms. If we want to earn we need to take risk. Or else invest in FD and sit quiet.
@knight_23

there is a reason these people do not get loans from anywhere. These people are also not getting personal loans. Plus if they (loan borrower) default, they have nothing to lose. Plus 11% return is fine, but it is too risky. I feel investing in stock market is safer and rewarding than giving loan to some unknown poor guy.

If not FD a corporate Bond or similar deposit from a top company like TATA's or Bajaj or Shriram Group can give nearly 10%. Invest in a way that you are able to dodge tax on the returns(via Elderly parents or dependents). Why risk entire capital for 12% now!
@asurakengan7173
@asurakengan7173 Жыл бұрын
What a stupid comment Vaman. There are 100s of safer investment instruments than P2P and you're making it seem like it's the only way to get 11-12%. I've 7-8 years of cagr 19+% via equities only. Real estate(gurgaon) is also giving ~30% from last 3-4 years, specially the affordable housing ones. There are tax free bonds by govt which are also giving comparable returns after taxing on P2P. Look at gold right now, more than 14% from last few years.

I invested my money into corporate bonds at 11% yield last year. They are AA+ rated bonds and are secured (have collateral). How are apps like these a better option than corporate bonds or corporate FDs ? Can you justify it ?
@vamankinimaroli9608
@vamankinimaroli9608 Жыл бұрын
@@venbas2 Ignore the Point of considering the elderly people here. When will you Invest in bonds?? If a person Invests in bonds then its well and good, but considering the market situation will you be able to lock bonds for a shorter term or longer term?? Say for eg: you locked a bond now and Interest rate of FD went to 8-12%, then person invested in bond will be a looser. Certainly not and cant rely on the bonds for a regular monthly payout. One must exactly know how the bonds are related to interest rates, or else a capital will get locked for a longer term and nor will be able to sell in the market because there will be less number of buyers for bonds as Indian Investors are not well versed with the bond market. Higher the rating of bonds lesser is the Interest rate might be secured or non secured also.

The 'buy/book now, pay later' model has becoming a major concern in the US, with people buying groceries on loans. A single missed payment can be more expensive than even card interest charges. Makes me apprehensive of anything that has BNPL association.

One more thing which i want to highlight for being a bharat pe 12% club user. They are also not giving you interest for 6 days on your capital deployed... they take 4 days to start earning on your capital, and when you withdraw, they took 2 days. So overall, 6 days' interest also in their pocket. And i am frequently withdrawing my interest part say every 15 days on 25k capital deployed. For me, it's just another option to invest as i don't want all my eggs on the same bucket, and i only invest 25k because i can afford that risk. In short, access your risk and get rewards accordingly. Other than this, after their launch, they stopped adding money option for 3 months and reopen now for few days, as i think after Ashneer's comments people started withdrawaing their capital and they are filling it now. Happy investing.

I had a good run with the 12% club. When it was introduced initially i used it as a wallet. Because it gave an option to instantly add or withdraw money. Then the withdrawal period was moved to 48 hrs. Which was a minor inconvenience but still okay. In the past few weeks Ashneer LinkedIn posts have been raising panic and concerns. I had a little over 1.8 lakhs parked there. I liquidated all of it at once and luckily got the entire money without any problem. Earned a good 20k interest over the entire period.

The point to learn is make hay while the sun shines. Never use such platforms for long term. They are definitely lucrative from a short term perspective. The goal is to capitalize when they are flourishing and then exit at the right time. The right time is when you hear such things and see such videos. Nobody can say who is right, but who are we to sit and assess, it's a complicated thing and not our cup of tea. So take that as an exit signal and better be safe than be sorry. That said I have just withdrawn whatever funds I had parked in 12% Club.

It's so refreshing to see this video, as I have done research work on the P2P lending companies in India though the objective was different but I had very similar findings and it is very hard for a common man to gather all this knowledge on their own. Thus it was a wonderful attempt to educate people in understanding a very different type of business and what they are getting into when they go for such platforms. Understanding of Risk is the key here. 👍

there are countless cases of people getting scammed daily from online platforms. Your video is very important to anyone looking for quick high returns. The one advice I can share from people who understand this platforms are get in early and get out fast, do not wait for the last station to get off the bus. The longer the company keeps paying you high returns, they are also finding it hard to generate those equivalent returns amidst growing risks

I join 12% club in Feb 2022 with little investment of 10K, it was good at that time i was able to withdraw the amount & Interest instantly during that time daily interest which i was getting little under 12%, Gradually i parked more amount & was getting interest daily. After using for 1 year suddenly daily interest was dropped from 12%, to 10% then i understood the risk here & withdrawal half of the my amount & reinvested in CRED. So far i have generated around 74K return within 18 months of using, I don't think that i would have got such amount by investing in Bank FDs or etc. Yes it is bit risky to invest. So far i am happy with 12 % club.

Some insights since i did invest regularly in 12 percent club until 3 months back 1.Many times they stop fresh deposits saying that they don't have that many people for loans but it opens back up in a week or so. 2. They credit interest everyday. 3. Withdrawals are fast enough , i have never had to wait more than 36 hours 4. There is no compounding effect in Bharatpe 12 percent club if you deposit and 1000 and after a year is 1120 in order to make it compound you will have to withdraw and deposit the whole money back again if you want compounding effect.

What are your thoughts on corporate bonds investing platforms like wintwealth ? Most of their bonds are related to small finance companies. They could default anytime as well in this market. High risk at this time?

what i encountered is (been invested for more than 7-8 months ) if go to earning statement u will found that u earn more from cashback from 12% club rather than the underline p2p lending most of the time earning from p2p lenders were on average not more than 30-40% of the interest amount so that is something which even i donot get when i came across the earning statement so there is definitely something to explore here

Your research is not accurate because bharatpe also gives loans to shopkeepers and small vendors who pay 2%+ per month so that their working capital requirements are met because they don't get money from banks and institutions also bharatpe settles the money they are recieving from their customers so they can get their money with interest from the money they owe the shopkeepers which makes their loans less risky so what i am trying to say is it's obvious that P2P is risky but not as risky as you are saying please complete the research

I had started investing money in 12% club since Dec 2022. My plan was to invest Rs. 5,000 every month but in the month of April 2023 they stopped taking deposits (atleast for my account). And they were also giving loans to who knows who so I withdrew my money in May. Though I got my money and interest(12%) on time, I never felt secure about it. Now I'm considering to invest in Cred mint as they are saying they lend money only to the ppl with 780+ cibil score. But the problem is 1 lakh deposit as starting amount. So still doing my research. If anybody has experience with Cred Mint, Please share your experience.

Both cred mint and 12% club has lending partner as liquiloans. Not only this, now ETmoney has also started P2P lending and liquiloans is its lending partner. And if we are talking about risk, Stock market is the most risky platform where you can lose your entire life savings in one day. You can take conscious decisions and invest around 15-30% of your money in risky assets depending on your risk profile, but keep 70% in safe deposits. Also, safe deposits of banks can guarantee insurance for only 5lac deposit amount, uske baad to bank bhi safe nhi hai. Best approach is to fix your money in the post office FD schemes which guarantees 100% safe deposits as it is backed by the central government

Corporate Bonds or even FD from big houses like Tatas or Bajaj or Shriram Group can give nearly 10%. If we manage to avoid Tax on this via HUF or non-salaried Dependents, then there is NO NEED to risk capital for that 12% club.

I had invested 4 lakhs, and withdrew it after ashneer's comments and got all my inverted money on the first working day after that. So as of now they have sufficient liquid funds. Also, there hasn't been a single default in the statements i saw for the last few months. I had been consistently getting the return everyday. Looks trustworthy but again it's high risk. I won't be investing back and looking for other avenues of safer investment.

Thanks for putting effort into explaining the details of the 12% club, and what I could make out is Bharatpe is just a like a DSA. If I remember the early days of P2P lending with companies like Faircent and the regulatory structure which was put in place for P2P NBFCs didn't give them any opportunity to make money out of the interest arbitrage, and they make a fee-based income by servicing the borrower and lender. Technically speaking, P2P NBFCs don't have to hedge their lending portfolios if we look at the regulatory structure though they insure the loan book by charging a fee at the time of borrowing. The borrower gets the money from a pull of funds created by the lender with the help of the P2P NBFC. The structure is quite similar to the structure of a Mutual fund. Want to under @Akshat Shrivastava whether this regulatory structure has changed? The serious issue you have raised about the loan portfolio of LendingClub with over-exposure to BNPL borrowers, which is the partner NBFC for the 12%Club.This is a bad state of affairs for the P2P industry as the industry was put in place to support MSME and individual lead business who are generally raised working capital from private lenders because the formal banking don't service them
