Today, I'm super excited to take a look at the biggest LEGO Marvel to date - the brand new Avengers Tower set! This set will be available beginning on November 24th for $499.99 USD or $669.99 CAD! This set is a celebration to the Infinity Saga and celebrates the 60th Anniversary of the Avengers first appearance!
There's so many references and easter eggs in the set that there will have to be a follow-up video just for that! Along with connecting it to other Modulars, fixing the windows and much more!

It's a garbage set for the price. It had so much potential when it came to the minifigure selection but they cheaped out with mostly reuses.

The cookie is a reference to how Robert Downey Jr would sneak food onto the set of the Avengers. There’s a bit he does during the “hulk saved you” scene where he pulls out a snack and offers it to Mark Ruffalo, who looks confused

21:30 A cookie being stashed in one of Tony's drawers might be a reference to Robert Downey Jr. stashing snacks for himself on the aets of _The Avengers,_ to the point that the crew gave up trying to find and remove them, and just let him eat on camera. There's an adlibbed moment in the film where Tony offers (I think) Steve and Bruce some of his food.

So, my best theory on the inclusion of Wong is that this way you can have his figure in the sanctum entering the portal in that set, and then exiting the portal on the avengers tower (or vice versa) which is an effect you can only get if you have a duplicate between the two sets (although I do think getting an ancient one figure would definitely have been cooler)

this set is truly impressive, it’s one of those sets that i wouldn’t notice from a distance isnt lego, the windows and architecture makes it look so real, my only issues are the lack of leg printing and the HEFTY price

I think the cookie in the drawer references that RDJ would hide food on set everywhere and then be eating it during the scenes. They mentioned that in one of the making of videos for Avengers.

I don’t know if anyone’s mentioned this, but I’m pretty sure that the bubble gu wrapper and bubble gum is a reference to how in winter solider the lumberman star thumb drive was hidden behind bubble gum in a vending machine. The fact that there’s a vending machine in the set is interesting for that fact since it’s a vita rush and not a bubble gum one.

When this was revealed or leaked - whichever it was, it was the day that I was reading the new timeline for the MCU and the Netflix shows were confirmed to not listed in the timeline. I don’t think LEGO realized that’s where it’s from

@@Ashnflash If your referring to the Marvel Studios’ The Marvel Cinematic Universe: An Official Timeline that book is stated to only cover Marvel Studios projects and on one page Miss Minutes says something like this is not the full timeline. In WHiH Newsfront, which was a series of news clips created to promote Ant-Man and Civil War, the events of Agents of Shield Season 3 Episode 14 are mentioned in a news ticker. Also in Age of Ultron when Fury arrives with Helicarrier No. 64 he says “I pulled her out of mothballs with a couple of old friends.” In which he is referring to Coulson who was in charge of the project to repair the Helicarrier in case of an emergency, and it’s the same Helicarrier we see in Agents of Shield. Also Reed Diamond, the actor who portrayed Daniel Whitehall in Agents of Shield, was called by Marvel to check his availability for a appearance in Endgame and the VFX studio that created the infinity stone graphics for the time heist prep scene included his face on the one for the Tesseract. I just focused on stuff from Agents of Shield as it has the most evidence but all of the shows are interconnected. Edit: The book is also full of errors and contradictions

It’s quite simple. Those shows aren’t on the timeline on Disney Plus and they aren’t in the book ergo not in the MCU. We’ve seen with What If…? and Loki that many events are the same in every universe. But small changes lead to branches. They may have at the time been attempts to have them connected to the MCU, but as the shows went on, it stopped. To me, they’re branches. And the biggest overarching and definitive proof is their absence from those timelines.

This set might be my favourite ever, but what really sold me was that classic cover of the original avengers comic, maybe if we keep getting these little comic covers like the batman first issue people could make a custom modular comic shop :D

Kind of unrelated, but do you think this might mean that Lego could make a modular building of other buildings in the MCU? Say something like the Compound from Endgame, Malibu Mansion from Iron Man/any Stark home, Asgard, etc. I'm really intrigued (looking back most of these probably won't be modular) but there are so many places they have not done yet properly.

Asgard would be a bit hard to display in Lego, it would be huge. Even just the temple would be as big if not bigger than the Lego Disney Castle

One thing I disliked about the bugle is that you couldn't really interact with the bottom floor unless you take off all three of the levels above it, I'm glad they fixed that for this set.

Believe me; Wong is the only figure included in this set that I would remove from, because he literally had no reference inside the Avengers tower. Instead, Happy Hogan, Phil Coulson, Maria Hill, Quicksilver, Ultron, Spiderman Vulture, and Stan Lee should be there.

24:24 the battle of NY newspaper was briefly seen in daredevil when Ben Urich was cleaning out his desk. It has the same design and is by the new york bulletin so you can tell it's the same one

in the same room with the deleting hydra files I think that's a reference to LMSH 2 where there's a part of a level where you have to delete a bunch of hydra spam off the computer (it's in the bonus level in egypt with colson and quake)

21:48 that's a cool reference to the first Ironman movie, At the end of the film that newspaper appears, but the interesting thing is that the photo used is one taken by an amateur photographer who leaked the photo from the movie set in may 2007, I think back then was the first look at his suit, but later the photo was changed, really cool

them showing they could have done the “stark” logo as a replacement in the same blue letters on the back of the manual is them just taking a piss.. The Eric Selvig minifig and the helicarrier cell are just lazy work, quicksilver and a vision birthpod/chamber would have been such a perfect fit looking at the fact everyone from that scene is allready in this set(vision/wanda/Tony stark/Thor) so I really don’t get the choises they made concering that.

Amazing and can’t wait! Gonna wait for this and decided to go with Daily Bugle first. Both are equal in every sense especially if you are a Spidey / MCU fan! Also, having both designers for Bugle & Sanctum on this makes having all 3 on display incredible! Excellent review as always AshnFlash!

I think Tony's workshop could be upgraded by putting some of the Iron Man holders from the Iron Man Armoury set at the back so you can show multiple suits! Fingers crossed - I will definitely be trying that!

I think you're right about maybe an iron man 2 set in the future. The damage on the mk6 minifigure is almost identical to the damage in the final battle. With War Machine here too, that's two figs that can be reused in a smaller set

i was originally really disappointed by the leviathon, and it looked really small/short in the promo images, but this video has the best look at it that i've seen so far and honestly i am very pleasantly surprised. i'd still like a full minifig scale one but this one looks great for how scaled down it is
