A heartwarming movie about family and friendship 😊
Perrito and the bear family 🐻 worm their way into my heart throughout the movie.
Before I even realize it, I like them already.
Puss went through great character development.
He had to learn to let go of his past selves 😸😻😼🙀😽😿😺😹
I enjoyed the animation style, it feels new and fresh for me.
Hope there's a sequel with Shrek!

This movie react looks messy because I had to adjust it many times (YT will block me otherwise). I'll tweak some things for my next video recording. If you are standing on the wishing star (with the map in your hands) right now. You can make ONE wish! You can't wish for multiple wishes. What do you wish for? ⭐

Regarding the baker’s dozen; A baker’s dozen is 13, so if we assume there are 13 of them, 1 is eaten by a flower, 3 are shot by unicorn horns, 8 of them fall off the cliff (if you look carefully there were two rows of 4), and then the final one disintegrates. 13 all up, no revives. I have watched this movie too much.

Here I thought he assembled a 'dozen' (12) bakers 😂 "A baker’s dozen is 13." This explains it! Then again, I thought a lot of them were eaten by the flowers. It was actually only 1 eaten.

@@henryellow Yeah, it's true. I think it was common for bakers to make extra goods, leading to the expression baker's dozen to mean 13. There was always an extra muffin, cupcake, or bread, which means there was something for a group to fight over.

11:10 SOMEONE FINALLY MENTIONS THIS!!!! Putting gold on the eyes is from multiple cultures. The idea is the gold is to pay the toll for (depending on which culture) death to bring them over to the spiritual world. Without gold, they are considered wayward spirits, as they can’t pay the toll and are stuck in the living world.

The bottomless bag is Mary Poppins' that's the reason Jack calls it a 'nanny bag.' The ending is a tease to Shrek 5 which is slated tp release in 2024 and from the same director.

Perrito literally means small dog which is fitting since Puss and Kitty are just other words for cat lol Fun fact: If you look closely at the crowd wave when Puss was fighting the Giant you can spot Death in the back lurking. It's less that he caused the deaths and more that he's just around whenever Puss gets his dumbass killed XP I can imagine Death cringing at all his stupid deaths and went "I might as well take this last one if he's gonna keep this up."

No wonder he calls him Perrito even before naming him, now I get it. You're right! I went back to watch that part and I spotted Death at the back! He didn't do the wave with the crowd though 😂 Puss' you-were-really-asking-for-it death would be him eating the shellfish 🤣

Well when Death said that he witnessed all of Puss' deaths, he didnt lie When there's the montage of the first 8 deaths of Puss, when you have the black screen with the number in red, look at the corners. Its literally Death hooded and holding his sickles

@@henryellow Dreamworks went into so much details! Like when Puss is fighting the giant, the bell rings 7 times and then an 8th time when it falls on Puss, killing him so taking his 8th life

The shadow was Goldi sitting on one of the bears with her staff slung over both shoulders and pointing slightly forwards to create the illusion of a long snout.

It's the part where Puss is in Mama Luna's house, and he thought the Wolf found him (he sees the shadow of the "wolf" walking past the window).

You mean the corners of his death cards, right? After you all pointed it out, I did spot the wolf when Puss was fighting the giant. Love these hidden details 😊

@@henryellow There was the one in the crowd that some other comments as well as you pointed out, but there is also a rather hard to spot slightly red eyed shadow of the wolfs face right before/when the bell falls on Puss. A KZfaqr pointed it out in a list of things that most missed, and now I literally can't unsee it.

24:42 Actually, yes... If you play the movie from the start, the scene where he fights the giant... At one point, the crowd is making a wave, like on stadiums. Pause that scene. Then look top or top left corner, in the shadows, behind people... There he is, the wolf, watching... Ohm and if you check those cards with the number of life Puss lost, look in the corners... There are silhouettes of the wolf.

I went back to check it out. This time I saw Death at the back, just like you said! This is one of the reasons I love animated movies. All these subtle hidden details. Oo, I never noticed, but the corners of Puss' death cards really look like the wolf in a cloak. Thanks for pointing that out! 😊

Yes, it all makes sense when we know who the wolf is. I was confused why he never showed up on the map, and why he wasn't interested in the wishing star.

Don't know if this is pointed out elsewhere in the comments, but if you look carefully at the book Goldi finds, the first letter of each line spells out, "You already have it". The map itself is the wish, trying to guide everyone to the fact that they already have what they want. Except for Jack, that is, since he never actually holds the map before they reach the Star.

I don't like how the DVD always says, "Speaks in Spanish" instead of saying what the characters actually says. It's not like "perro" is hard to write.

@@henryellowHe probably didn't go to shrek for several reasons: 1. He did not want to endanger him and his family 2. He was too proud to admit that he was scared and needed help 3. far far away is.. well, very very far and mama luna was closer and a much better solution considering the situation he was in

I do hope it isn't because Puss doesn't consider Shrek as a friend. When the doctor asked Puss if he has any friends, Puss didn't mention Shrek. Other than that, yeah there could be plenty of reasons he didn't go to Shrek for help.

So according to Greek mythology, the coins are supposed to be for the one who ferries souls across the River Styx, right? I got confused because I recalled a movie where people had to bring treasures into the afterlife to weigh on a scale. If they don't have enough treasures they can't enter heaven. The movie might have been a parody, because in Roman mythology the heart is weighed (not treasures).

@@henryellow sorry but you have wrong mythology you see there was a movie about Egyptian gods and tbh that movie butchered Egyptian mythology just like Percy Jackson movies but In Egyptian mythology they weight your heart if it was lighter then ostrich feather you were allowed into afterlife...if not then we'll there was crocodile, lion hippo hybrid that ate your heart And yes the coins are for ferry man and that is Greek mythology also Greek and roman mythology is basically identical just different names
