Sir, as a long-term investor, do you use Securities Lending and Borrowing Mechanism (SLBM) to earn extra income by lending your long-term holdings? I heard one can earn a pre-tax income of up to 5% per annum extra returns through this without incurring any STCG/LTCG, and all the dividends and bonuses will also be given to the lender. Is it safe to do this?

Sir, My age is 53 years and already invested Rs.18 lakhs in bm focused small cap small case. I want to invest Rs.10 lakhs more in it by selling my mutual fund portfolio where I am getting 18 percent yearly.
