For an explanation on the origins of "Ask Mr. Melman," see the description to Part 1, uploaded here: • Ask Mr. Melman Collect...
11. January 3, 1985.
12. March 25, 1985. Calvert's first full reading of Meltzer's catchphrase.
13. April 23, 1985. Larry "Bud" is now an attorney.
14. May 28, 1985. Dave's "Festival of Guitars" comment refers to both Waddy Wachtel and Joe Walsh sitting in with the band.
15. August 26, 1985. The edited phrase snipped out of Dave's introduction was "Dancing Waters."
16. October 30, 1985 (taped October 7).
17. November 26, 1985. It's Tokyo Night. Ask Melman-San. In honor of Thanksgiving, the two t-shirts have been replaced with a frozen turkey.
18. December 19, 1985. Due to G.E. about to take over RCA, G.E. lightbulbs are handed out.
19. March 17, 1986. Larry's first appearance in a Naval uniform. Back to two t-shirts.
20. April 21, 1986.
21. May 26, 1986.
22. June 25, 1986. R-rated.
23. July 21, 1986.
24. August 19, 1986.
25. October 8, 1986. Ask Larry Bud Headroom. Another nod to G.E.'s takeover of RCA: Bob Rooney gives audience members an assortment of G.E. fluorescent lightbulbs.
26. November 10, 1986. Larry is dressed in an flowing kaftan. The gift: Dwight Gooden bath towels.
27. December 16, 1986. Again in a flowing kaftan. The gift: a hundred pieces of gum.

It’s been correctly pointed out that I neglected to include in this Part 2 the first Ask Larry “Bud” Headroom from September 15, 1986. It is included, though, in my Headroom collection, uploaded here - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pspid92lrc-3mY0.html.

Thank you for all of your compilations...this one was great! I loved Larry "Bud" Melman and I had not seen a lot of these. 1:00:35...I know his singing got played for laughs, but I really liked his "Time In A Bottle" rendition. He did " Gentle On My Mind" on the show in another compilation of yours (I think it was "Kenny The Gardener") and I really liked it a lot as well. It's been great watching your Late Night compilations during this COVID-19 situation...thank you again!
