As the documented cases and concerns surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19) increase, we know that many riders are thinking about how to best protect their families, both two-legged and four-legged. We know there are many questions about how coronavirus affects horses, so we had Dr. Lydia Gray, SmartPak’s Staff Veterinarian, Research & Medical Director, ask Dr. Frank Andrews of the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine some of the most common coronavirus questions we’ve heard.
00:00 Introduction to Dr. Frank Andrews
01:38 Can my horse get COVID-19 if an infected person handles him?
03:08 Can I get COVID-19 from my horse?
05:57 Do horses get some form of coronavirus?
07:53 What do I do if I think my horse might have equine coronavirus?
09:18 In regards to social distancing, should I keep a routine vet/farrier appointment that was already scheduled?
12:34 What should I do if my horse becomes injured or ill or has an emergency during this time of social distancing?
We encourage customers to visit our FAQ and resource center for the latest information about COVID-19, its impact on companion animals, and our up-to-date response: blog.smartpakequine.com/2020/...

I took the 1.87 version of ivermectin and it worked. I was leary because I heard of people overdosing so I only took 1 notch which is for a 50 lb horse.i took it 2x with 14 hours between each dose and it worked! I began feeling better 2 hrs after dose one.. now it's been 12 hours since dose 2 and I feel great. You have to do what you have to do! Update: I was healed at the 2nd dose.

I do not think the bats bite civit cats. These are not vampire bats in China. There have been reports that it could have come from a pangolin or even from pigs. Perhaps the civit cats were exposed at the horrid wet markets or if in the wild, were exposed to bat guano. Thanks for the information regarding the equine strain of corona virus.

I’m COVID free because I’m wearing masks, washing my hands and fully vaccinated. Not taking horse worm medicine. There have been a lot of calls to poison control hotlines. FOX news is horse shit

What is sad is people claiming to be passing worms are actually passing pieces of their intestine. I'm so tired of living guys
