Been following this game for a while and then some, but this trailer has really impressed me with the width of mechanics, creature design and exploration focus that I have gone from keen to well keen.

Looks very interesting. Mind answering a couple questions? Will you be able to lead your villagers into battle, not just defending your village? Will there be multiple biomes and bosses?

I've been playing the demo. Don't know about leading them into battle, but there are definitely different biomes. I believe I've also found a boss. It's a massive skeletal ribcage of some sort, beneath a large, evil looking statue. It has a healthbar (I couldn't even dent it), and it made menacing noises when I hit it, but it didn't wake up. Maybe a different time of day or something.

How much content is there after the demo? I know it only lasts around 6 hours/14 days and the tech and village count it pretty limited. Just worried there isnt much after that.

Hey so post demo when we launch into Early Access you'll have access to the full tech tree that is in game now (up to iron tools and metalworking etc) and you'll have to try and survive the winter when it rolls around. The developers are planning out content updates for during Early Access but we don't have an exact list or timeframe just yet.

The EA is close to Soulmask's EA. So it will be a tough one to choose. I already played soul mask demo so I know what to expect gameplay wise. This one I would need to see gameplay first (not a trailer. Like a playthrough. Or hands on)

You can play about 6 hours or 14 days worth of the game in the demo right now! it's pretty limited in tech and the amount of villagers you can have so bear in mind

Playing the demo, looks promising need some balancing bit the game is fun, but hunting and combat is terrible and need major overhaul. Hope you consider porting it to console

@R173Y I honestly preferred Soulmask. Aska seems far more constricted and not a huge fan of prefab building. I also don't love how the quick the day/night cycles are, it makes me feel like I constantly need to be rushing.

@@jlaw3504 I prefer the freedom aswell. Soul mask is more focused on the player, adventure and combat with skills/RPG elements and the villagers just kinda help out. I played the alpha a few months ago for Aska and got about 30ish hours (2 winters) into it before i ran out of stuff to do. 90% of my time was spent micro managing the village setting new markers for gathering since nothing respawns and fending off blood moons you never know will happen until they do then you have to rush back to base since guards were not super reliable on defending. I could nit pick it to death, with the amount of feature requests that have been made and ignored. I'm also not a fan of the limited demo, makes me feel like it has nothing to offer beyond. BUT enshrouded was limited to 8 hours and i played that for 80 hours before i ran out of content.

You can do both! You can play with up to 3 friends on your server but also recruit NPCs!

Would be more fun if you hadn't got so many norse mythos things completely wrong. Unless there actually is a disclaimer mentioning that. I know it sound silly as feedback or critique but norse mythology is still (by my own experience) often treated a quirky aesthetic and not a real culture that was part of history and twisting history (yes, that includes the mythology) should always come with some kind of 'hey this isn't according to historical findings' or something like that because I am so so tired of people getting all their info from videogames thinking it's fact. And if you think 'well clearly it's a videogame so it's a given i'd be fiction, they're just stupid' yes, I agree, but unfortunately not everyone catches on that it's fiction without being told it is.
