Infantry armed with spears and pikes have always been considered a hard counter to melee cavalry. So are archers and crossbowmen if you keep them well defended using either the terrain or your other troops. This will not be news any half decent general that lived in pre industrial times.

34:47 Shri in India we have separate caste who keep family records in red books called as bahi. In Rajasthan there are two castes called as Charan & Bhaat and they have been archiving for eons now. They charge 51000/- ++ for revealing ancestry info upto many many generations old data and if any achievement or rewards by the then kings will all be mentioned in the bahi. Sometimes they also demand for clothes & Jewellery too. For Rajasthan they have a Bahi data archiving center in Pushkar, Ajmer, where data is shared/duplicated/copied among family members for data preservation. And the mother data center is in Varanasi. If you try a bit even your ancestors data will be in Varanasi, if you talk with family seniors they might tell you which center your database is stored at. There are many fake ones in varanasi but if you try really hard you will find the genuine ones where your ancestors had gone to Ganges to immerse ashes...

Whenever i travel in vistara, i get misguided by their checkin staff... The seats are also bad... Mediocre service. I was glad my luggage was safe. With such bad service, i was scared they could mishandle my luggage. But it was fine.

+1 on Air India..legacy airline ,geat staff..sad end..like to share my experience: Was stuck at Bangkok don muang airport (with wife and 4 year okd kiddo)trying to return to Mumbai(2005 deluge)..and no airline was flying back..stuck there for 2 days and the rains in Mumbai just kept flooding the runway.I had Thai,Cathay and AIr Ind tickets but no one was operating..suddenly Air India counters opened up and we were accepted(seeing my condition) among a huge crowd of staff and passengers. The airplane(Airbus310) touched down safely on runway 14/32 in 3-4 inches of water,which was opened for only 3 hours..great crew:pilots and cabin!..Thank them for life!!!

I wanted to share my experience with Air India. During pandemic they cancelled our ticket with a promise that we will be accommodated by next flight which never happened despite several calls and mails. The staff expressed inability as it should be done by their accounts department and we have to personally call on them. We made alternative arrangements and travelled. We have contacted for refund but mails never answered phone calls disconnected. Whereas for my grandsons who booked by Chinese Airlines they promptly refunded on cancellation within two days. Ground staff, I strongly believe we’re responsible for the loss. What is your opinion now about Tata owning old wine in new bottle.

I have heard a lot about Air india and I know many prefer Air india especially Chicago Delhi route kind of thing as it’s quickest and most efficient. And I also know compared to all other airlines nothing beats their food. However now I remember some 3 years back I had booked Vistara for the same reason from BLR - DEL trying to catch my international flight and they simply canceled it and gave no options or help to book something else so that we don’t miss our flight. We had to pay 3 times the cost to get a flight that actually helped us not miss out international connection. However in my mind, Air France is one of the worst.

The era of nation-states seems to be ending, and a security alliance like CSTO (Russia-led) and NATO (US-led), but led by India in the region is much better option. A federation of self-governing "autonomous republics" like in Russian Federation can be the most that Indians can wish for but even that is kind of asking too much. Like Abhijit said, a lot of Indians who have this dream need to let it go. It will most likely never happen, similar situation in Gilgit-Baltistan and "Azad" Kashmir, and in fact it will encourage the people in the smaller country to be more uncompromising against the larger country, because it is quite simply arrogant. Best case now is to do as much as possible to increase GDP per capita of India and wait for reasonable/friendly partnerships between neighbors (including Pakistan) automatically created by the increased prosperity, after which a security alliance like CSTO/NATO can be proposed by India.

Few decades ago it is alleged that Air-India used to operate a weekly flight to Beirut , and there was a corruption in roster of cabin crew with payment of money,sexual favors, gifts etc. This was because that the cabin crew members used to get 7 days allowance in Venice of the east and enjoying hotel stay (holiday paid by the airline with daily allowance) In recent times Vistara has got bad publicity, and if it continues it will go the same way as Jet airways- only concern will be that the management of present Air-India should not go the present Vistara way!

Abhijit your comment on institutional racism in Europe caught my attention immediately. How very true and this takes me back to a quote by Margaret Thatcher "Europe was created by its HISTORY, while America was created by a PHILOSOPHY". Anyone coming to the US from around the globe can hope to be accepted as an American one day and proudly call himself one with pride. But not so in Europe, say an Algerian Muslim immigrant even though his children now born in France speaking perfect French without an accent will never be included as a Frenchman by the French for the simple reason the society is not INCLUSIVE. This problem extends across Europe. Also, the Balkan war brings to memory Bosnian Muslims and the Serbs who are like oil and water with generational hatred going back to ancient times.

Both your channels are shadow banned by YT since the past few days. Normally when one opens YT in the browser it lists out videos in order of viewer preference. For eg: If I hv been watching your channel regularly - on opening YT on a browser - YT normally will list out your videos among others for viewing. Since a few days, none of your videos are listed for viewing on opening the YT in a browser. One has to search for your channel to view your latest videos.

I am bit late. There are some questions why the learned are speechless and not questioning politicians etc., in case of Idol theft in Tamilnadu is going on since independence. So also the smuggling of ivory and red sanders continues unabated even now. Now it has become free hand to atheist men raiding temples . Why Center has not initiated any action is still a mystery.

Air India experience is inversely proportional to the age of the cabin crew, as in the older the cabin crew better the experience.

Go and read Bose's views on everything. He was a staunch leftist and strongly against democracy. Funnily enough he had great respect for fascism too because of the regimented society it creates. Under him India would have been a brutal dictatorship.

Abhijit you not so well read know it all!!!! Hahahaha! You could have just admitted you didn’t have much to say about the renaissance era. Didn’t have to brow beat Neeraj. The answer could have been something like this. The Roman imperial era (400 years) was one of one of Roman influence pedaling and land grab and massacre to impose their brand and the appease the egos of their steady stream on egomaniacs. Unsurprisingly that lead to the dark ages. The wealth amassed during and after the imperial era was enough to last through the dark ages and the renaissance was just a century long period where the world regained some sanity, largely due to a brief time of peace, where art was able to flourish. This is considered the end of the dark ages. But that just euro centric and myopic as usual. The dark ages were not at all dark in most of the world.

Wang Yi came to India because he was flying over Indian airspace to go to Nepal. This is typical Chinese courtesy. India does not understand this Chinese culture. He just dropped in for a cup of tea. It's just being polite. It's like Modi stopped over to meet NS, while returning from Afghanistan. India should jot have made a song and dance over his visit.
