You are correct to some extent. Our ancestor kings did not go out in conquests and they were not ruthless warriors lije the Japanese or muslims. but you can not say they practiced too much Dharma. They did fight each other. Democracy was given to us on a platter with adult franchise even if the adults were not educated or in a position to judge what is hood or bad. That is what AMI means. People are not evolved and their living standard is very poor so they can be easily bought with freebees

They migrated probably 1000 years ago to south india. Bangalore has a sizable population in the Chikpet area. Many are very well educated, well settled either with own business or in top government and corporate positions. Khoday's is owned by them. In Bangalore they are called as pattegar, meaning weavers. Hardly anyone is in this profession anymore. Most are wealthy, rich business entrepreneurs. They speak their own language which is similar to Marathi. They are fluent in Kannada both spoken and written and consider themselves as Kannadigas than Marathi or saurastrians. If you find them in madurai then they are very much tamilian. Ohhh by the way my school friends are pattegars that's why I know so much about them.
