Car Guru......hats offfff.....eye opening knowledge.....this video saved my 3000 INR.....full credits to CAR GURU.....I own Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza......I bought a normal engine oil from outside of 3L quantity which costed me only 980 INR....where in the service centre was demanding me for 3000 INR....which saved my 2000 INR....even oil filter costed me only 160 INR.....where in it was 400 INR in service centre...on the whole this 10 mins video saved me more than 2000 INR....thank you very very much.....my dad s happy that I saved some money for him...!!!!

Hi sir, Your video is very nice with good explanation, i remembered i was work in Hyundai service center "i don't want use place" but there is same scam happened. I saw there are engine oil came in drums servo motor, we service boy change engine oil and used engine oil store in drums, in the week a oil supplier come for took dums full of oil and same supplier came for new delivery with fresh oil. That time i was noticed something is going wrong because quality is no good. So with my crazy mind i start marked every old drums where used oil store. Once day i saw new oil drum came with my marked. That is only one things in side of service center a lot of scams going on. I appreciate your effort and knowledge you have to made like this video for customer awareness.

This video should be awarded . Its a star video. very very informative. This is utmost true that service centres will definately insist you to change the oil and if you dont then they will not entertain you properly. My friend had this issue on his 2nd service. The Hyundai service centre's service representative insisted my friend to change the oil. Upon his denial. They just wash the car , cleaned inside and air filter . Though the service was free so he was not charged but in actual they have not done service at all. He was able to figure out this becoz he took his car next day to his family mechanic (who is expert) and the truth was revealed !!. The trust on giving the car to company service centres losted totally as service centres they do not allow the car owner to be present when maintenance going on !! . Sir thank you for uploading and enlightening us. 🙏

Thank you sir, I was part of service center after my automobile engineering. There I saw original parts changed with other parts. I came know about one more thing that all parts in car are usually not good. Change them with different parts is also good. For example I had an experience at service center that I worked. We were told change the master cylinder of scropio with local purchased Mico which of much lesser price as original master cylinder of care was not good but when change with Mico one it had no issues. please a vedio on precautions during servicing of vehicles

Sir your advice is excellent. I have Tata Indica which is occasionally used (i.e. 2000 Km/year). The service center in Lucknow never does its service without changing engine oil, oil filter and air filter. I am forced to change these every year.

Amit ji bahut hi acchi video hai .... Kaafi kuch seekhne ko mila ....... Ek sawal hai mera ...... Aapke kahan kilometer ke aadhar par engine oil change karein ...... Lekin mujhe lagta hai yahan do parameters hain ek toh KM aur doosra Samay (Time) ..... Aisa thodi na hoga ke aapki gaadi agar 3 ya 4 saal mai 10000 KM complete karegi tabhi aap engine oil change karayenge ..... Mere hisaab se 10,000 KM ya 1 year jo bhi pehle aajaaye ...... Sahi karein agar mai galat hoon toh :-)

Is it compulsory to take Engine Oil from service center or we can purchase recommended engine oil from market and get it changed? Maximum service centers change oil from recycled oil kept in drum at their service center. Will warranty gets void if we purchase oil from market? The biggest tool to force customers to purchase oil from them is "Warranty void".

Sir you are doing a great work. I would recommend to use only O.E oil filter , air filter , and fuel diesel & petrol filters . Local oil filters high oil temperature nahi seh paate and unka paper bhi gal ke engine me oil k sath ghul jata hai , aajkal lag-bhag sabhi cars me paper cartage oil filter Hota hai , local brands ka glue and paper quality utna behtar nahi Hota . Soo I personally recommend only original & O.E brands .
