At freshman orientation we were asked if any of us had applied to Stanfurd but has gotten rejected and ended up at Cal. About half of the room of 800 raised their hand. Then they asked if anyone had gotten accepted to Stanfurd but had come to Cal instead. One guy raised his hand we have him a standing ovation. Go bears! Tonight the axe stays in Berkeley. A perfect ending to the last Big Game of the Pac 12 era.

Cal class of 2016 here and it was my dream school that was realistic and affordable and I’m extremely proud and grateful! But yeah, I’d have picked some of the Ivy and Stanford (yeah, I know lol) over Cal.

I heard great things about UC Berkeley. It's a world renowned university and has mad respect throughout the academic world🎉 these kids sound so ungrateful. I wish I could have gotten into Berkeley 😢

@@garyflores1044it is a great school! But there are just more prestigious and well known schools than Berkeley, such as Stanford, MIT and Harvard!

It’s very prestigious, but the professors don’t care about anything but research, the kids are toxic and competitive and the classes are hard asf

My first choice was Yale, but chose Cal just because. There is no way I would ever give up my rent controlled apartment. 😝
