Love how the woman said economic struggle instead of poverty outright. I know a lot of Africans are in poverty but poverty doesn't define me and plenty Nigerians, even though I know that I must persevere twice as much as my western counterparts in order to succeed.

I have never been to Africa, I have always wanted to visit Africa (South Africa, to be specific) but after watching one of Tayo Aina's videos about Namibia, that's now my new destination of choice. I really admire Tayo Aina for his concerted effort in showing the ignorant world that Africa isn't a country (it's a CONTINENT), that it's not just wildlife and poverty and that It's not the best country in the world but it's also not the worst. Keep up the good work!

@@TayoAinaFilms We do have a poverty mindset. I keep wondering WHY we think we need the West for anything. If we want cellphones, we have materials to produce our own, if we want food, we can grow them in our backyard, if we want entertainment, we literally have the best rhythm. I am STILL wondering why we are bombarded with Western media all the time, no African musicals like High School Musical about romance, they're always about the "Struggle". We need a divorce from the UK to completely focus on ourselves.

@@justbdsd4569 Can imagine! You know what, everywhere you go there's crime. No denying. The crime rate in SA is higher than in my country, but we are all used to different 'standards'. I am more vigilant and aware of my surroundings in SA, but nothing is stopping me from living and enjoying life there. On the other hand, I am also vigilant and aware in Amsterdam. The only difference is, crime rates in e.g., The Netherlands are not on display as it is for countries in Africa. There are a few 'rules' I am following (also adviced by friends that I met there): (1) stash it, don't flash it, (2) money withdrawal only from atm's inside, (3) not walking back roads or streets, (4) not roaming the streets by foot in the evenings. Things can always go south, and if it does, then you have to deal with the situation the best you can.

That is the sad truth, western television portray Africa to be a poor dirty ,beith starving children, band forgetting the larger part more civilized with much resources that the western part take at usually low prices, for example cocoa, cotton, cobalt, Gold, copper, to use in the so called electric cars , and calling it clean when the children are dying in the Congo when mining. African is a beautiful place with very positive energy among the people. A lot of the people in this video seem to know about Africa, from the positive comments
