I find Polish people still quite shy if it comes to speaking English. They do not get scared of foreigners but they are stressed with their English speaking abilities

As a polish girl i can tell you honestly. When you ask girls " Can i ask you one question ?" some of them can think you wanna go for date with them or just have phone number of one of them. Polish people do it sometimes - asking girls they didnt met before , about it and because of that they are more like "maeby better dont answear" . Because of that it's better to just ask them question and dont ask if they can answear question. People feel awkward when they dont know the reason of conversation - exacly type of question :) I can't wait for your next video. Have a nice time in Poland :D I wish i could met you at the street like that hehe :D

Agree. Asking if you can answer a question is worse than asking the question up front.

Good point. In short, the best way to approach somebody for a spontaneous interview must meet all cultural/personality expectations of the natives. Maybe best way is also to approach mixed (females & males) groups, instead females only. Also, asking if they want to participate first (off cam) might be more helpful.

Luke, I noticed that you say Dziekuje Bardzo and follow it up with "eh"... While your pronunciation is excellent, the "eh" is not Polish and unnecessary. It would sound less foreign if you drop the "eh" Love the video, I wish more people participated, if you just say the question without the set up I think you'd get more responses.

I think impromptu surveys are excellent addition to your videos, Luke, but maybe more imaginative questions would be helpful. For example, a question "how do you feel about foreigners in your country?" could be improved by asking "what advice you would have for foreigners visiting your country who want to meet local people and learn about your culture?".

Wouldn't be nice to be accepted everywhere? I was born in Poland, moved to Canada at the age of 10. Dificult times but I became friends with multiple cultures. Because of kindness. Nit the color of their skin. As Bob Marley said in a song. until the colour of a man's skin is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes. I will respect that forever. And everyone should love one another if you are treated right. Sad thing is there are places in the world that are still old school. And fawk I'd love to hang with you for a day. The positive vibes and energy you put out. One of a kind my friend, bless you on your ventures. You are a kind soul and I enjoy the vids

hello, I'm from Lbn - good job, thanks for your hard work... Poles mostly don't have "problems" with foreigners in PL. Normal people have nothing to fear, they will get help, etc. However, if these people create any problems in public, it may end badly... (i think its normal in all countries+- and all "normal" cultures) take care, gl

My husband told me when he was a child, he saw black children at the airport for the first time. He remembered being scared (probably why he married me... I'm scary. LOL!). When the children here see me, I wonder if they have the same fear, although there were a couple who said hi.

Scared? I remember my first time seeing a black person as a kid. I was grocery shopping with my mom. I was so excited I couldn't help but tell my mom about it out loud. She was mortified! Well, to me it was like seeing a celebrity. I knew black people only from American movies.

Im from Lublin too, is eastern Poland so not too many foreigners choose to travel here. They prefer western Polish cities and Warsaw, Krakow. There have always been some Asian students, but recently there has been a small black community here. I have a young 4 years old sister, my mother told me how some time ago she was looking out of a stroller and watching black people out of curiosity haha. For many Polish children, especially from the countryside, this is new. It's nice to see you guys traveling here, I happened to talk to a few black girls in Lublin a few times and they were all very nice.

@leno_o17
@leno_o17 Ай бұрын
What are you talking about? You're not forcing yourself anywhere, if you 're a normal, well behaved person, then you're perfectly welcome. If you mean that Poland is mostly white, yes, it is. But that's mostly because it was a "closed" country up until the 90's, the borders were closed, so there was no immigration. Plus the country was so poor due to communism, that there was no reason for people to come here. Now the situation is completely different, and there's tons of different people living here.

I think foreigners might think Poland is like a first world country like usa or britan or germany,because of the buildings,but Poland can be a 2nd world country it doesnt build its own cars and make it owns construction machinary,Poland should actually immigrate some people from those first world countrys and wouldnt be a bad idea for 2nd and 3rd world country to immgrate some people from thier and help out.
