thank you for explaining these things. it is really good because there are several ways to ask a question and I as a french beginner want to learn all of them. it is a bit easier for me because I also speak spanish and I would say French has lots of things in common with english but also with spanish. Thank you again, I watch your videos every day to make sure I do not forget anything

In English if we put "why" at the end of the sentence it is seen as aggressive. "Why are you here?" is asking a question whereas "You are here, why?" is demanding an answer. Is this the same with POURQUOI? I am trying to learn French as a business language and obviously courtesy is very important. Regards from Australia.

Hello Alexa, My wife & I have been renting a house in southern France for perhaps 10 years, we are friends with the owner & socialise with him & his family while we are there, but they still use vous rather than tu, how long do we wait before being asked to use tu??

Alexa, I am trying very hard to learn French, I've been watching this group of videos over and over again. I feel like I am not getting far. I know I would not be able to have a French conversation right now. It's bumming me out a little.

+Alexa Polidoro I use what French I've learned on my friend that lives near Lyon, he answers me in English,lol. He has learned English faster than I am learning French. I even wrote the days of the week on my calendar in French so I would get used to seeing them and it helped me remember them better.

because if negations is used in a sentence, you cannot use "des".

Why is it that in the example with going to the pool the verb ETRE is put in the past tense as ETAIT when in passe compose it goes ETE?? And it's explained in Passe Compose lesson that it means was/have been?

OMG I jumped ahead from lesson 3 to 23 and see if I could understand and now I am scared. This is too hard. English is not my native language (although I have lived in the US for 12 years now), it's Portuguese and Italian so one could assume it would be easier for me. It's not. 😓
