I asked ONE woman (a bank teller I saw daily, and saw her belly bump growing) when she was due. She replied that she had liver cancer and wasn't expecting. I've never asked another woman about her family plans. It's no one else's business.

You could have done something nice for her, after learning that. The world has gone to hell, where people are afraid to help each other and care for each other. That was your opportunity to be there for another human being, instead you never want another piece of that ever. It's your loss

I did the same twice, it was very embarrassing moment. Both ladies were church members. The first lady was married for years without children, so I was happy when she got pregnant, months later, I saw her dressed in all-white, one Sunday, without the belly bump so immediately, I assumed she had delivered, I shouted for joy and hugged her, and asked, was it a boy or a girl, she didn't respond but rather smiled and left but others looked at me some way and said she lost the child. I was so embarrassed and ashamed. Again, I met a church member at the Airport and knowing that she had this big belly, and saw her at the Airport without the belly bump, I assumed she had put to birth, so I congratulated her and asked if it was a boy or girl, she also looked at me some way and said she’s sick(Fibroid) not pregnant, I felt so bad and ashamed and decided to mind my business about such issues.

@@reneesett6061 I have been married for 21 years and been fairly happy in my marriage, and we don't have kids. It's upsetting when people ask why we don't have kids because that part of our marriage journey has been an extremely painful one, and people asking is just insensitive and none of anyone's business. Morale of the story, you don't know what people are going through so don't ask questions or make statements about their personal business because it might be hurtful.

I mean if he wanted to have kids so badly he should've been open to you about it and maybe consider adoption or something. That's how a marriage is supposed to work. Honesty and compromising. I honestly think you're better off without him. He doesn't seem to value you only what he desires. I'm really sorry you're hurting from this. I'm glad that you're choosing to love yourself. This hit home. I am Indian and my hubby is Caribbean, married 6 years. I am asked constantly when I’m getting pregnant, almost looked down on by my parents, extended family and mother in law. Someone asked if I was ‘doing it right’. My mum even said I just need to get pregnant and she will look after him/ her. It makes me feel less of a woman. Hubby and I love our relationship and with PCOS, it has been hard for me to conceive. I’ve made peace that it might not happen but the constant expectation really gets me down.

Why all caps? Who do you think you are that you must be precluded from any form of questioning, have the grace to answer questions without trying to intimidate. Use your words and explain why you think it's inappropriate, but this type of behavior, acting like the world is going to end because a man asked a question about pregnancy is exposing your lack of maturity about grown up conversations. Go back to high school if conversations like this are too difficult for you to have. Turn in your adult card and go back to being a child.

They… (Africans) are so invasive (People in general as well). I’m 28 yrs old now, and people are still pressuring me to be married and have children. I dance to the beat of my drum. That’s how we rush into things and become unhappy, miserable or simply unprepared. And the same people that were applying pressure will be no where to be found. Yeah people think about marriage and babies a lot and pressure people to do this. I'm 31 and still single. No boyfriend, no husband. Being married and having kids may seem like the ideal life but it's not for everyone. That kind of stuff takes time and commitment. I do want to eventually get married but not have any kids. Maybe get a dog and a cat. I have autism and don't fully understand how to take care of children or teach them. That's a huge responsibility for the rest of your life. But I really don't know what God has in store for me yet. I'm still living with my parents trying to figure out what to do with my life.

Was having an argument with a friend some minutes ago and while making my points, the only thing I could think of was Ling and Lamb. I constantly felt the need to share a video from you guys with the person. It's not just about the chemistry, charisma and whatnot. I chose to share this cos of the words said in it. It was wisdom for me and it got stuck so tight in my head that I couldn't stop thinking about it while the argument was on. Cheers

🌴🌺 I didn’t even finish the vlog and I’m up hauled that people would ask you about babies or assume you’re pregnant. My son got married and I never asked because I didn’t want to put pressure or invade their personal decisions. I respect the decision to create a human being. That’s a big responsibility and commitment!!! Enjoy your lives together, of course you know this. Life has so much to offer see and do! Thank you for sharing❤️🙏

Ling and Lamb, thanks for this. I am one of the wanted kids but after a miscarriage it never happened again. I have experienced some rude and even insulting comments about having children. My husband and I have come to terms with it. Now that I am getting older and had a hysterectomy due to cancer it is totally impossible. Although I don't have kids I have invested money and time into my nieces, nephews, God children, and friends kids. I am thankful to have had the means to help. I would have loved being a parent but it wasn't meant to be. I am content and often happy with my life. Many of my dreams or life goals became true. I am working my bucket list for the rest.

With all due respect; when we as people in general invite society in our home like this; this is exactly what is going ro happen, because they have no respect, or they are just excited to know more and more of your lives! Its sad that people just cant watch what you offer and keep their mouth shut in the process. I commend you both for calling this out and taking care of it before it gets worse. So, moving forward, if you dont already know more things will be coming at you. Especially as you keep doing this. I wish you both the best and just set your standards, boundaries, and topics that you will ONLY address throughout your life keeping society remaining in your life together as an interracial & international marriage. You are doing great and just remain to stand your ground and maybe you may have to make a video just on topics that you will only be willing to cover and expose to the world. Set your BOUNDARIES!!! I encourage you. I resoect you both. Have a great day.

Women much younger than menopausal age of 50yrs+ are at high risk for pregnancies with birth defects. Despite advances in medical science, women 35yrs and over are considered to be "advanced maternal age" and "high risk" for congenital birth defects. Pregnancy is a personal decision, just know the risks.

Well said to you both. The nature of social media is that people follow you because they love you. However, they can become so intrigued with your life that they will ask questions that lack sensitivity not meaning to offend you both. They are excited for you both and possibly pushing the timeline to accelerate the next post marriage event. You've never discussed this publicly and like celebrities when you go public, some people believe that you belong to them... you have now set the boundaries, and no doubt the question will be asked again (I.e. new subscribers etc.). keep it positive and remain blessed as those that ask the question love you both. Btw I wouldn't ask... blessings

This was great! Love the philosophy for sure. I was searching for a client/patient and found myself interested because I have made the conscious decision not to have children. I run a private practice for children and families and I recognize that if I had children, I most likely would not be able to continue my practice and service to the public. Something would go lacking and that would be my family or my clients/patients who I highly value. To prevent that "crossfire" or "crossroads" that destroys so many families and business owners, I have decided to wait. Doesn't mean it won't ever happen -- but for right now I am fine. I see my child-free time as time to work on me, work on my career, work on my family, work on the people who need me. When it is time for children (if ever) I will be ready then. Thank you for sharing this wisdom with your audience. I will share this video with my clients/patients. Blessings to you both! Love your channel!

The question about a baby get us so fed up too... and the assumptions of me being pregnant, when people see what they want to see... It's no one's bissness to ask couples about children, if a couple what's to talk about having children they will talk about it.

It's really a pressure on the couple. I am newly married and I have experienced what he said. I have shut down every dumb question about pregnancy, especially from people whose lives never matters to my marriage. I believe people should only offer help/advice regarding pregnancy to those who ask them. I didn't get married to please anyone, not even my parents, so, I don't welcome the pressure at all.
