After a tricky few Premier League (PL) fixtures and with Champions League (UCL) still the aim for Tottenham Hotspur fans and rivals believe there are still a few problems for the North London side to sort this season and next for Ange Postecoglou!
So with the help of some KZfaqrs including the likes of Mark Goldbridge, Joe Thomlinson, Alice Talks Football and more.
I asked KZfaqrs and football content creators - the biggest problem at Tottenham and how the Australian boss Ange Postecoglou along with Daniel Levy, Scott Munn, Fabio Paratici and Johan Lange can solve it!

I think small portion of the fans, not really supporting the manager or players. Fans quick to want to sell players or stackAnge when we lose but quick to praise when we win. Johnson was hated for months, now he better than Kulu. Kulu has a target on him now. Richy was hated even when he was scoring. Sonny captaincy Is questioned because he didn't score last game. But he was the hero for scoring the winning goal in the previous game.

I think hate is far too strong a word, I was not impressed with Johno early doors, he was weak in the challenge and struggled to get a cross in and to get in the 6 yard box to meet crosses, he has improved and good luck to him, long may it continue.

I think Spurs fans really need to possess some patience and give Ange and the process that is building at Tottenham some time. It needs to be a slower burn, ground up build that has sustainability at it’s foundations.

As an outsider looking in Spurs fans really are on something else sometimes, this coach has worked wonders in such a short space of time and with what he had to work with start of the season. I’m bewildered at the not so patient reaction from the fans who for my thinking do not deserve a coach like this. Give the man bloody time for goodness sake’s because all I hear is a lot of complaining.

Totally agree. I'm a new Spurs fan due to fellow Aussie Ange getting me on board, but by the sounds of how dour the style of play was last year, and the fact the team lost Kane days before the start of the season I just can not believe how impatient and entitled some fans are. If they get too toxic after another little drop-off in form I'll be happy for him to get the hell out and wish him all the best elsewhere.

There's two things. 1. Set Pieces (Offensively and especially Defensively) 2. Time - It just takes time to reprogram the hard drives of players that aren't used to playing his style. It also will be a long process in terms of shipping out players he doesn't want and bringing in players he does want. Nice video

The fact that opposition fans genuinely think we stood a chance to win the cup speaks volumes on what Ange has achieved, the serious problem might genuinely be the OG fans cause they’ve been through it all and they all have a lot of ptsd in my opinion. I’ve been a fan for almost 2 years now and the spurys thing is almost always mentioned by those OG fans, us young and new fans like the football we play but OG fans want all the big titles 😮!!!!!

Two things: 1. An upgrade on PEH for defensive cover for our CB's cos god knows we need it and 2. A replacement for HK who can guarantee us minimum 15 goals per season.

Postecoglou cannot solve the problems, the biggest problem this season is that the bench is just not good enough. When the squad is fully fit they are challengers, when they have injuries, they are weak. It’s got a little better with some recruitment but the bench isn’t on the same level. Recruitment is key, and up front there needs to be goal scoring, because we miss too many opportunities.

@@nevillemignot1681maybe you should just say what he said, or post a link. We don’t know if you’re agreeing with the statement or disagreeing, because you’re not offering any insight. The fact is Tottenham lead the premier league for the first third of the season when there was a full squad with no injuries. As soon as there were injuries they fell off. The chairman is notorious for not spending money, so Postecoglou is limited in what he can do. If Tottenham don’t spend there will be no success and he will end up at a bigger club and will win trophies, but at the end of the day that will not be in his control. He also won’t stay long because he wants to win, his hands are tied, and the chairman doesn’t care about trophies, only revenue and top 4 is good enough for that. He can only do so much with what he has, and I can’t ever see him getting the tools under this chairman to be able to match his ambitions.

yes I agree the biggest problems are most of the you tuber and fans! according to those so-called "experts" 70% o the players wouldn't be here. had a very good spell the first 10 games lost some thru suspension a injuries then you hear sack the coach and this and that player. .... and now if Tottenham doesn't make the Champions League it's a failure ! pretty pathetic when you think how long Ange is here and how he created a team that fights for each other and how he motivated the players everybody was asking to be sacked. Tottenham will never win a trophy if the don't give the coach a chance, look what Mikel Arteta achieved with Arsenal he had a though start too.

has been a great start, but after a fantastic first 10 games, the problems arose and showed we lacked depth in this age of the league with a lot of added time in games, and also not starting and controlling games. Yes consistency, finishing are issues, we still lack fluidity, we still need time, but next season will be unforgiving. We have recruited really well with this new young side, but need a couple of strong signings and we should be there to challenge all trophies domestic and european #COYS

Ange's biggest problem will be convincing Levy that buying top top players with the right winning mentality will make the difference and push this club forward. Then, it will be about persuading those top players and convincing them to sign to get on board with the project. Silverwear is the key to changing everyones mentality and belief surrounding this club. Give Ange the time and the players he needs. Not the no risk werners of this world. "He's cheap. It's just a loan for now. it's a win win situation." No, this is not what im talking about.

The person that questioned the mentality that Ange has given these players was not watching us last season. But I do think we as fans also forgot that we were extremely poor last season and if you take away Kanes contribution we would have been close to relegation. Maybe Ange must get the fans out then TOT will be winning something, sacking every manager is like complaining that the coffee is cold but you unplugged the kettle before the water boiled 🚮.

It’s his first season , wants the players to first understand the basic principles of Ange ball, after that has been achieved, only then can he complicate and evolve the system to correct its flaws. You can’t build a great building without a solid foundation.

It boils down to the fans. I’ve seen the reception the fans gave to Ange in the first couple of games before that Chelsea debacle, despite this is my 2nd time tuning into the Premier League and Tottenham. After that the fanbase were to clingy onto those good results and not look at the big picture: we lost good players due to injuries and suspension and out of the blues they’re starting to blame Ange ??? Really ??? I’ve been yelling out of my lungs for weeks that the man needs time and a good investment in the summer after the season ends. Just that and we are good for next season.

If anything Defence needs to be improved. Spurs have conceded some soft goals this season. If you fix this problem then the draws would turn into wins and the losses would turn into draws. As to the slow starts, I liken AngeBall to Mohamed Ali who famously said that he danced like a butterfly but stung like a bee. There is a lot of energy expended under AngeBall in bamboozling the opponent and tiring them out. The effect is to open them up and have more space to play. I am happiest to see goals that are tapped in my under AngeBall than the lucky long range strike bc the” tap in “is from the training ground and you can replicate it week-in week-out. You can’t bank on a lucky strike in the same way. That is why AngeBall is what it is.

Bit of a strange thing to point at 'reactionary fans' by Belgian Hotspur. Surely ALL fans are reactionary, in fact, having been a Spurs fans for over 60 years, I don't think I've ever met one who isn't. A 'Non-reactionary' fan isn't really a fan anyway.

There isn't one. were playing in the main much better football. we were looking great until we had 10 players missing through injury/ afcon/ suspensions. it hasn't clicked as well since but key players are still getting back to full fitness. were 5th nearly 4th not 15th. give him the summer and another window and it will look great. simples

I'd have to disagree with you on vriabillity. I've been following celtic and tottenham closely under Ange. And the do the same thing over over, play out wide, overlap cross low balls into the box and have players at the end of it. It's very very linear in my persepective.

If we hound the BIG MAN OUT! Biggest mistakes we could wish for. Big Ange is the best and the right manager we have had to date. Rid him and all trophies in future are completely gone! Spurs need a natural No 6 a natural winger and a natural No 9. With this we will be a force under Ange ball. Ange has changed the complete mentality of this club of mine. But also Levy and the whole back room staff have changed. The whole club from top to bottom is on a rebuild. Fuck sake time is needed. Some supporters need to grow up and stop being so bloody fickle. Remember where we were prior to the arrival of Ange. The last 3 seasons I could not even watch my team. Be careful what you wish for?

I was devasted Everton didnt get a manager like Ange. Im sick and tired of watching the shit football we play. Spurs supporters are deluded thinking you can challenge for the title within a year. I think you have a top manager but it might take 2 to 3 years to seriously be in contention for the title. You just have to watch Liverpool and Man City to reaise that. Ange got lucky getting the Tottenham job. Big club with huge potential. Dodged a bullet if he potentially went to Chelsea. He has been successfull everywhere he has coached. People think they were all farmers leagues havent got a clue as well. He wasnt managing Man City in the other leagues. 3 different leagues 3 championships. This is the hardest test by far but calling the other leagues farmers leagues is disingenuous. Cant stand Tottenham but follow them because of Ange and I am an Australian football supporter. And Alice knows more about Tottenham than 3/4 of the spurs supporter channels.

I don’t know who most guys are some much b.s and cliches. Massive problem in the team is biss he has been dreadful since African comp. Managers in prem are smart and have worked us out they know if they play low block and 2 banks of 4 we struggle. So 6 is so important in the team and it’s not working bad causing team to dysfunction. Biss now does not break the lines at all, he does not dictate the play at all and just passes back and sideways. This means that madders has no space as there 2 mid all over him. You see when he has to come so deep to get the ball even to edge of our box. Ange seems to not drop him maybe cause he feels does not have like for like. At start of season biss was full of confidence team was flowing beating people sucking mid to him making space, he needs to be dropped and in summer even replaced. That’s biggest issue at spurs right now can’t believe none of these people talked about it 👎🏼👎🏼

These comments about Levy and ENIC are old and tiresome. Move on. Levy has taken the club forward in many ways with a world class stadium that secures our future, with a training ground that is the envy of every other and will attract talent, and now a manager who plays exciting and attacking football. It's about finding the right manager who fits spurs. Ange will want a very specific sort of player and Levy and the team will give him anyone as long as this fits in commercially. Right now it's working so the old Levy and ENIC excuse isn't relevant right now

At the start of the season all spurs fans were expecting around a 10th place to a relegation battle finish but now the majority are expecting no less than 4th place. The fan base is the problem because Ange is actually over achieving based on our fans own expectations at the start of the season

Always 1 plan for all opponents - never varies. passing, slow passing. backwards, sideways (no shooting) - just boring and PREDICTABLE & NO URGENCY to win. Re-actionary Fans is not the problem - no one can hound anyone out. Do not Exaggerate, We make bang average teams like Fulham, Wolves Brighton looks like World Beaters. Manners_10 guy talk rubbish.
