Cathay Pacific is currently my favorite airline. I’ve flown them 4 times in economy and was impressed each time. My travel is personal and for now could never make as many trips to Asia flying business class. Cathay Pacific in my opinion gets economy class right. So no surprise your business class trip was great.

My guess is the mirror helps you to plug in the headphones. If like other flights I've been on... The plug is on the inside of that cabinet and impossible to see while seated.

Nice review. Wife and I shall be flying CX business class SFO-DXB via Hong Kong. First leg will be on the A350-900. Second leg will be on an A330-300. Booked with Asia Miles. Redeemed 154K Amex MR points for 169,400 Asia Miles since they were running a 10% bonus in January.

Yes, on the later flight I did. If using points (depending on your points obviously) I think it's worth splurging on CX F.

How did you like your seat in the row 12? I have read this is right in front of the lavatories and the galley so try to avoid it , but I am wondering if you liked or not? Was it too noisy or bothersome? Thank you!!!!

We usually opt for back of the cabin since we're filming and don't want to bother/distract other people. For normal people, I'd go for a different seat :)

It depends on your Amex balance but ANA is more "bang for buck" especially if you can try the new product (out of JFK only at the moment).

Total noob with premium flying, but do you keep the pouch with the hygiene kit? I flew business one time from SYD to NRT. I did not know anything about perks and whatnot back then and all I did was sleep during most of the flight.

Airport isn't really affected (other than that 1 weekend). It feels like business as usual. i.e., me wearing my black v-neck = fine.

OMG Sebby now I'm in the mood for some lamb chops! My gf and I went to HK in May (before the protests), and want to go back once all the protests clears. great video. but we all will have to tell cx that terrible black tray over white table cloth. when last time i flew in business class all these white dishes on white table cloth. the setting is so beautiful. now that black tray downgraded everything. i am very disappointed with cx's downgrading table setting.

CX's business class is kind of average. I remember flying them as a kid and always wanting to feel what it's like up front; it's too bad to see how far they have fallen compared to other airlines.

I just cancelled my first class flight with united cuz no food drinks and snacks only florida to las vegas...so now i got an exit row and $300 in my pocket for food. US Airlines are the worst all 3 of them...i'm sticking with the budget airlines when ever possible

I think cathay plastic business class is one of the worst Asian airline products out there. No way they’re a 5 stars airline. No slipper, no PJs, food sucks, not enough staffs, amenity kits isn’t that good. I think eva, China airline, hainan airline, Asian, Ana, jal, Korean airline, all those airlines have better business class than cathay. Try Eva/china airlines next time, you'll see the difference.
