Smitty, You aren't alone! I've been into all Irish music for decades, but sadly only discovered Aslan shortly before Christy's passing. Do yourself a favor and check out Christy and Finbar Furey doing Green Fields of France... The mutual respect from two different genres is priceless!

Random rant - heroin came to Dublin early 80s, to a city that had many hash heads and a tiny bunch who used speed to dance, it swept through the inner city flats, and the council estates of mostly, north west Dublin / it wrecked the lives of users, and broke many families - poor Christy got into it, suffered, created, but limited his potential. Rant over.
