This Project by volunteers that has worked on it since it started back in 2012 - a year after Skyrims release. This is what i call absolute dedication and absolute show how much they love the game. Like many game industries, without their fans - Bethesda is nothing. And they should be damn grateful for it. I am very excited to play this huge mod.

I'm really glad Asmon took notice of this and made a video reaction, this will give much more notoriety to this great project and most likely more people will start supporting it. I'm infinitely thankful to the people working around the clock to bring this to life, Oblivion is one of my favorite games ever (probably the game I've played the most hours so far) and seeing this project come to fruition really makes me happy!

maybe maybe not. Lot of devs that could supprot it just have other things to do including myself. There are just not many people that are already skilled in creatin engine and have the free time to contribute and support it.

@@FezTheMoose It's a program that help you to install modlist created by people so you don't have to spent time installing 1000 mods to find out it's not working and need to uninstall 20 mods to fix it but uninstall those 20 mods create new bugs so you and to install 30 mods to fix it then you find out by installling those 30 mods you make the game crash every 3 minutes so you will have to install 33 patchs for it but those 33 patchs are uncompatible with another 66 mods.........etc.

@@Salmagros salmagros? thats surreal af what up dud. Yes @Kwa ndo it reduces the necessity of multiple steps in modding, including finding the mod and reading the description. The creator of the wabbajack will usually reccomend minimum computer specs, and give instructions to make it simple.

@@kwando472 Wabbajack just makes it way easier to pimp out your game without cross-referencing a bunch of compatibility and load order lists. I just discovered wabba 2 days ago and this shit is insane, my game looks like a 2023 AAA title and it took like 4 clicks. Theres one that Fixes Skyrim VR so instead of a peice of shit moneygrab it turns into a 10/10 VR game

Why do I get the feeling Bethesda/Zenimax will cease and desist this the same way they did with the Skyrim multiplayer mod. Even if that was the case its not like they can do anything once the mod is released online its a done deal. It will probably become popular enough that other Oblivion fans will work together to patch the mod should a C&D order be placed on the modmakers that made it.

They jave direct permission from Bethesda to make this mod. The only stipulation was that they had to recreate everything and not use any proprietary Bethesda assets which is why it took so long to create the Mod since 2012.

Man, Oblivion was hours of fun, that was a game I played for countless hours, I remember sitting on the floor playing it all evening whenever it was my turn on the xbox or when my brother was out or doing whatever else and the music would put my brother to sleep so I'd just keep playing and it was so good, this was before my family ever paid for anything online so I never get the shivering isles or anything but just the base game was great

lol, I doubt it will happen. I think this mod will be what it is and no more. Imagine how hard it would be to mod this. Plus oblivion itself have such amazing mods hidden everywhere. If yo utake the time to dig into the nexus or TES alliance, and if you know how mod a little bit yourself, it's crazy the things you can do with this game

Just like with Enderal, compatibility with existing mods will vary from type to type. Perk overhauls like Ordinator won't work if Skyblivion already makes changes to the skill system, while something simple like a player-only armor or weapon mod should work without issue depending on how it's integrated. Worst case scenario, you're gonna have to use console commands to spawn them

Skyrim has far better game mechanics than oblivion but man at least oblivion had a real city. The imperial city felt massive, it only needs more people for full immersion but skyrim had tiny towns that were supposed to be cities.

Oblivion is also an awesome game. It doesn’t have the crafting and has a bit of a different system, but I would urge you to give it a shot. Even the original version.

They are also coverting Morrowind to the dame engine. Modders are also completely rebuilding New Vegas as a FO4 mod as well as Miami, London and Cascadia projects (Cascadia is Oregon/Portland area and the trailer shows the NCR. I believe the story will be heavily based on the NCR trying to conquer the area). There are trailers for each of these projects if you havent seen them yet! Its rime to finally switch to PC

I have waited for this for so so long! This mod allows you to travel to the location of Oblivion from the Skyrim world map. They’ve already did it with Morrowind (Skywind) and also a few other locations. This is going to be a,axing. Especially In VR (the other custom maps work in Virtual, currently).

Neither Skyblivion nor Skywind allows you to travel to Skyrim. Both work like independent games, the remains of Skyrims map in Skyblivion are unplayable and Skywind deletes the Skyrim map completely.

I remember Morroblivion project sometime in 2007 that aimed to port Morrowind into Oblivion's engine. It did fairly good but was eventually cancelled due to legal issues. Such projects always run into legal trouble because this is essentially smashing 2 games together without necessarily requiring you to own both. Sometimes they even do this with games from completely different developers. Reign of Terror mod ported entire Diablo II + LOD into Grim Dawn. The game is significantly different from Diablo II, as it uses Grim Dawn character development mechanics (you play as 2 classes and can do both D2 Sorceress and Paladin for example), but the whole world, models and soundtrack is from D2. This is a free download and requires to just own Grim Dawn. No need to own Diablo II. This came before D2 Resurrected and was a good opportunity to play D2 in a modern engine before a proper remaster came out. And it still is a mod worth of recommending, even though D2R is out. It's a completely new way to play Diablo 2 campaign.

I doubt any more Beyond Skyrim releases are happening outside of Roscrea, Atmora, and the Morrowind/Illiac Bay pre-releases. Cyrodiil, Elsweyr, Illiac Bay, and Morrowind certainly aren't happening before 2025, more likely 2035 if ever. This also heavily depends on the mod team getting their shit together and not having constantly almost monthly schizo-transgender meltdowns which heavily documented on a certain website dedicated to the farming of kiwis.

A good chance for younger folks that did not play Oblivion, it is my favorite. Morrowind was great but the some of side quests on Oblivion are some of the best in any game. I am sorta old, played all of them. I was in the Army when Arena came out, could not wait to play Daggerfall later in a light infantry unit in AK. I played the crap out of Morrowind in Iraq. Played Skyrim for years. Followed this project for a long time. New fans that never played anything but Skyrim are in for a treat. I bet the Ayleid dungeons look sick as hell also.
