As someone who has encountered the hilarious toxicity and gatekeeping of HC guilds, I actually kinda see why a very imbalanced person who can't just log off would do something like this. These are the type of guys that expect you to sit in discord for 6 hours everyday to be "allowed" to raid. I just quit after I hit 60 because I realized I wasn't down to spend months to be allowed to join the "club". This guy chose psychopathy instead.

I mean, its completely on them (the hc guilds) if they take a hardcore version of a game that seriously. Hardcore characters/games are for challenge runs where you have to start at nothing every attempt for the fun of it, not for establishing a high and mighty attitude because you don't die.

@Jacknorrington Blizzard needs to take this feature out of the game if it can be abused. Until then, it is part of the game mechanics. There's no cheating, hacking, hate speech or verbal abuse being used. In COD WZ me and my friends actively look for ways to kill each other within the games parameters. I've lost count of many times my buddies killed each other or destroyed each others bases in FO76 for the banter of knocked each other off ledges in Destiny. It will always be funny. No one is getting banned. These are obviously low stake outcomes in trash games, but WoW was never meant to be played HC. It's a ridiculously risky thing to commit thousands of hours of your life to. And yeah, I listened to his nearly one hour long interview on his motives after he done it the first time.

@silphwave9907 I mean HC is a popular mode with a certain subset of players in almost every game it is in. Also there is no "fixing" griefing. Unless you completely remove aggro which would be not very fun, lol. It isn't dying that people are upset about here. It is the fact that the only way to avoid this is to outright have not invited him to the raid. It is straight griefing to ruin people's accounts and is purely anti-fun. What you described with your friends is precisely that. Between friends. This guy artificially made friends in order to get involved in the raid with the express intention of wiping the raid. That is scummy. It has absolutely nothing to do with "Well it is HC so be prepared to die" That is like someone telling you to run a standard obstacle course, and then suddenly out of nowhere someone smacks you in the face with a 2x4. "Well it is an obstacle course so you should've been prepared to avoid obstacles." It should be bannable.

The incident that sparked everything: Tinyviolin's friend, Deux, who was also in the guild got caught boosting one of his alts with his level 60 main, and that was against rules of SSF HC on unofficial so he got kicked. Then Deux offered tiny some amount of money (heard was 5k) to wipe HC Elite.

Like, there's a big build up that takes a long time, and then there's "judgement day", when he puts his griefing plan into action and destroys all of these other players (in hardcore mode, if they die, their character is gone; so like hundreds of hours of playing destroyed b/c someone thought it be funny to screw you over).

@@veppy4952 and nowadays Blizzard basically removed majority of moderation team, so even if Asmon knew a lot of people they are probably not working in Blizzard/Microsoft anymore. So at this stage I don't think even Asmon can get any player ban especially if they are not doing anything against TOS. Blizzard now basically works like IRS, they don't care what you do.... but if you get Gold in any form or fashion that doesn't benefit Blizzard you are absolutely f****d :D

Funny how they banned him, EVE Online uses griefers for their advertising lol Apparently based on a true story, the 13 year old "Casualty" trailer for EVE had a guy that got blown up randomly by gate campers, months later he joined their alliance after they had forgotten about him, he slowly got rank in the alliance to where he had access to their wallet and assets. He then proceeded to steal ALL the alliance's cash, and hired freighters to steal all their ships and weapons out of the alliance hangars, moved it to a secure location, then left the alliance. The alliance was soon defeated by a rival due to all their shit being stolen. Made for a great trailer.

0:55 Correction: He didn't infiltrate another guild. He infiltrated the SAME guild he griefed during the 4 Horsemen. You can barely see it in the 4 Horsemen clip, but you should be able to make out the text "" underneath the player's name at 0:23. In the C'Thun fight, it's very clearly visible which guild gets beamed.

You don't actually have a yellow belly, you're just cowardly, just like a "redneck" doesn't necessarily need to have a red neck. Blue-Haired is pretty much the same as calling someone a shitwitted leftist who is likely a part of the rainbow cult, believes myths like the gender pay gap and "The Patriarchy™", and says some stupid shit like "intersectional feminism".

It's super weird to not realize that manipulating people to feel powerful and in control is part of a much deeper issue. I think Asmon has admitted to doing it in the past which is probably why he has that take. This behavior in real life is what you see the worst of society do. The excuse that "it's just a game" is such a bizarre justification.

@@tucci06 I'd argue that it's the opposite of antisocial. WoW has developed into being a mostly antisocial game. This is provoking more social interaction is it not? The guild he is attacking probably feels a greater bond and sense of comradery for having a true enemy. I don't think what the person is doing is "good" but I do think it is content. If they want the standard, perfectly safe and thorough dull version of WoW why bother with the hardcore server?

@@lukeboy61 That is an unbelievable stretch, lol. The hardcore server is to attempt PvE progression with 1 life, not lose hundreds of hours to griefers. And this is why he was banned. It's not content for anyone but him. The act of harassing the same people multiple times just to feel a sense of power and control and the methodical nature of it is a huge red flag. This guy is legitimately unstable and it's super odd that people excuse it because "it's just a game" or "he's just trolling" or "WoW sucks anyways".

@@Exknight2 have him tank, then just stop healing him. It's that easy. If they know they can take a boss easily, they can just stop healing him and then let the other heals take over. In both instances he was a tank and that's why he was able to grief them, so if they just let him die and secretly have a backup tank already knowing what to do they can just let him die early and then the next encounter get a new tank

It's actually the same guild believe it or not. Honestly, they just as R as tinyviolin is at this point. You could easily avoid this just by having someone to check on tinyviolin's twitch channel if he's streaming whenever they're doing endgame raiding. That's it.
