I love this game. It is only 3 dollars, yet it's simple graphics and increasingly difficult nature make it addicting. It shows you don't have to have insane graphics or crazy gameplay to make a great game.

I LOVE the cut from "this is easy.. why the f would everybody play this?" to Asmon surrounded by mobs, "special" weapons flying around, and totally sucked in to the game.

Even after a year this still holds up. Despite watching it already last year, this video had me in hysterics a lot of the time (dying of laughter at one point near the end and the internal compulsion to backseat and feel immense disappointment when Asmon didn't perform a certain action/movement and/or make the right upgrade decision upon level. Still regardless, it was a pleasure to watch Asmongold experience pure childish joy and the satisfaction that this game can generate for a lot of people. What made me return to watching this video was Asmon recently uploading his gameplay footage of a game called Halls of Torment which is practically the same genre to this and almost identical in gameplay; basically I just became reminiscent and would rather not spoil myself on Halls of Torment before playing and experiencing it myself.

Hope he plays this more. Never stop going BIG GARLIC

Asmon never does schedule anything, but a variety day once every week or two would be a great addition. He's already branched out to so many different games since WoW started to suck ass, and he gets some pretty great viewership spikes when he tries new stuff.

Please make another one of these but continue through the other levels! This was a gripping watch! :D

I really like that the devs of this game update it rather often, so even when you think you did everything, come back 2 weeks later, and there are new characters, weapons, evolves and such.

It was hilarious when he got the powerup that sucks all the XP towards you, and he instantly got 3 levels worth of XP he never bothered to pick up.

Gotta say this is my fave asmongold series ever. This game is very well designed and entertaining to watch. Great music and SFX too!

I watched this back in the day but it's still awesome to watch Asmon play one of my favorite games from the basic bones and progress to where he ended up.

I love it when Asmon intentionally calls things wrong names like calling the mantis a scorpion or the bats birds and chat gets so triggered about it.

Adore that we are seeing the simple, not pretty, but outstandingly fun games again. It's not expensive, it's not focusing on stupid shit, it's just fun and focusing on the meat and potatoes.

The best thing about this game, is the weapon you get with combination, it will get stronger but some of them can get evolve. I remember that I got 6 weapon evolved in one run it's so powerful, the axe become Scythe, whip become bloody tear and start life steal, the thunder shoot across the screen and add another explotion,...

It's so funny to me, watching this after having all the unlocks (For now), and still knowing that most of his chat is forgetting that he just started. It's very easy to open your mouth and say things, with your current level of upgrades, but the fact is, for his first time playing, this is the very typical experience. With how fast Asmon learns mechanics, he will be outplaying over half of his chat within a day of playing, if not most of his chat. For his first 2 1/2 hours, he's way ahead of what I knew at the same time, back when there weren't as many things to remember. Hope you are enjoying the game, It's super addictive.

To me, it seemed like if you did small circles at the end there rather than standing still you would have created distance. Leaving a wake allows you to fall back into it so why not just do circles to create a larger bubble around you.

This is game is so addicting. I always thought if there are any game that could be played while playing another game. for example, when you wait for raid to ready up or queue to pop. THIS IS THAT GAME and ITS ADDICTING. The main thing is you can also pause the game in mid game and just come back to continue it.

I think the bird and possibly the whip over the lightning ring and the lasers. Pile all of your damage right beside you that way the experience crystals are closer and easier to collect.

I played this game for a full day, just when i thought i unlocked almost everything we suddenly got more things in the game. I have 70+ unlocks so far. and counting up. Some of the characters are overpowered.

This is because you got wings instead of spellbinder.

The problem is picking dmg powerups when he should be taking defensive ones where possible, if you can one shot stuff you don't need extra dmg

I had this game on my wishlist for a few days now on steam and decided to try it a little bit ago. Very fun and intense game, especially around the 15 min mark. It's easily the best 3 dollars I've spent so far and kinda good to see him give this game some exposure like this. Over half a million views is going to be insane for the people working on this game.

You should definitely make a part 2 on this soon was very entertaining

hin not buying movement speed power up really hurts a lot, its the best power up to buy in the menu, you can beat the game just with movement speed to max and nothing else, but without it is hard af man,its the best upgrade to buy at the start, then magnet and amount are preatty neat too, then greed to farm, but movement speed is a MUST, he couldve avoided a lot of deaths if he had movement speed.

44 minuets in and I think this might be the most I've ever enjoyed an Asmongold video just yet! It's just had to choose if I like this one more or the video on the Hoff twins.

I wonder if well-learned aoe frost mages would be good at this game because the way you're constantly taking into consideration enemy positions and making perpendicular movements in relation to continually recluster groups of mobs

I love this game been playing it for awhile love seeing new people play it. I am pretty sure he would have lasted the last 29 seconds if he would have just stood still. He gained some levels at the end for no reason which gave the mobs more hp. Really good attempt for not having much stuff unlocked.

For anyone getting into this game,if you time it right, you can change direction with whip to use both swings in one direction to DPS down elites early game.

It's so funny and awesome to see the progression of "watcha talkin bout willis" to "I'll win with this build" within 2 hours. I wasn't expecting to like it either, then I found the hook to keep me playing.........

@Asmongold TV the problem was you didnt evolve all your weapons. certain weapons need items to evelve and will eveolve at level 8 once you have the corresponding item

This is an amazing game and I've never heard of it! I was completely locked in on this video the whole time. The clock says its almost 3 in the morning but I could have sworn it was around midnight just a little while ago. I can't remember the last time I stayed completely focused on anything for such a long time.

This game is so great, simple yet addictive and the updates are quite frequent with new characters. Totaly worth it for 3 bucks

In games like that you never forget about defense. Wtf is with only offense items for the first hour +? You need either great CC or good tankiness with lifesteal for example. Clock is OP in this game. CD reduction + weapon effect duration are wonderful.

I like how Asmon starts playing and creates a routine of the same build every single time in a game that he has never played before instead of experimenting and trying new builds 😂 so interesting
