My trick is to use my preferable vision. Most hosts want you to focus on the card while they shuffle, which leads the the trickery. But if you have your eyes on all three cards it becomes a lot easier.

I dont know if hes foreshadowing where the joker is gonna be but when he turns over the cards he flips over the middle and right card first and the left card last
