Oooh you did my favourite game !! So nice. Got to admit though, was a bit hard to see at times when you are experienced in the game like me. 😂😂 Two easy tips are always be producing villagers intill you get to 100+ and try not making your vills go miles to drop of resources, build mills near farms for example.

Also take the boars they are the best food income in dark age, careful not to kill your vills with it though
