I did 25 yrs. in Air Force, so I had to get my haircut like every 2 or 3 weeks to stay in regs, Thats a lot of cuts, started cutting my own after like 10 yrs. unless deployed or out of country. Had haircut under a tree in Bangladesh once by an old man, with old scissors wrapped in towel, he was awesome. Same in Philippines, Korea, Iraq, Egypt, Japan, I enjoyed finding local Barbar and since most didn't understand me, I just let them do what they do and I always worked out, sometime just great conversations and stories. Some barbers who tell me of famous people whose hair they cut. ...I'm 61 and been retired from service since 2008. Always said I change my hair style when I got out military...never did...

I've been getting flat tops for twenty years. Never have I ever gotten one done by a barber with the skill to cut the top without any comb or guide of any kind. This guy is good!

The flat top was very common on school boys back in the 1960s. I had one until I went into the Air Force, when I let my hair grow a bit longer consistent with the styles of the day. Rarely see them anymore. Still see a few crew cuts. But, I never saw a barber "free hand" the flat top. They always braced their arm on the head of the customer.

Yo también soy peluquero de más de 25 años de experiencia... Y aprovechando que usted es militar y usa un corte miltar... El corte clásico miltar el más común en el ejército...es un poco más cuadrado no tan redondeado.....? Y el devanecidos es hasta arriba prolongado no tan abajo.....? Y que no quede tan hacia adentro el corte...para que no quede tan con poco cabello arriba.... Al menos yo así lo aprendí hacer... Usted cómo lo hace....aunque sea una descripción breve que si le voy a entender.... Saludos y buen día
