I am sorry i've misread the situation so badly here and of course i've immediately removed the sponsor from "those who shan't be named" The video can take a few hours to change apparently but i've informed my team that we won't be working with them again in the future. Okay, I want to try to explain how we reached this point. When "they" were mentioned initially, i googled a lot of the controversy and also found several documents explaining what had happened. I sincerely felt that the truth had become very muddled in speculation and that they actually offered a service that can really help people. I went on to test it myself and thought it seemed really great and it's something that could actually help. However, when i released the video, i woke up to some very disappointed individuals and for this i'm really so sorry. I never want to betray anyone's trust and if some of my community feel this is a poor choice - then it's straight out the door! To confirm, no money has been received, I wasn't/will not be paid for anybody who clicked the link either. My apologies again - I hope you can enjoy the video :D

I wasn't going to say anything, despite some disappointment with the sponsor, just because I know that not every content creator can be up to date and fully informed on every controversy with the platform-- especially if you've got another job and a full outside life to manage! But after coming back to listen before going to bed and seeing the pinned comment and noting the removed sponsor segment, I feel obligated to put it out there that I'm really impressed and touched that you care enough to pull the plug on the sponsorship as soon as you saw the comments and dug into the details more. Especially since you tried the service and it worked for you, it'd be easy to simply dig in your heels and say that you still think it's a good service. But as someone who knows others hurt by the company, I'm really glad you chose to trust the stories and experiences of others who've written about them over the years. Thanks for what you do, Matt, and thanks for caring enough to make so many changes so late in the game with money on the line. I'm sure there's an argument to be made that the long-term loss of trust would outweigh the sponsorship payment, but so often creators either don't want to lose the revenue or can't afford to not get paid, and so everyone loses out. What you chose here may not be the choice every creator can afford to make, but it means a lot that you trusted your supporters and (to be frank) strangers on the internet like me enough and cared enough to do it. Wish nothing but the best for you and your team, and I'll be looking forward to whatever you upload next as much as I ever did before.

Matt, I want to commend you for your response on the sponsorship and the comments about it. I myself never even knew about their reputation so I also don’t blame you for partnering in the first place. Your response shows true character and says a lot of awesome things about you as a human. If you are worried about people being upset by the initial sponsorship, I assure you that every reasonable listener of yours understands and completely respects you for handling the situation the way you did. Fore the people that don't know, better help has had a lot of lawsuits about selling user data (as in the problems you discuss with their therapists, so the thing that would break the hyppocratic oath if they promised real therapists, which they don't) plus there are a lot of horror stories about better help. There are also some analysis videos on how they end up being more expenssive than normal therapy. So before you decide to try anything out please inform yourself. And i find it very sad to see that sponsorship here i truly expected better. It only takes 2 minutes to realise how scatchy they are....
