I agreed with you on “Before the Coffee gets Cold!” I feel bad because for some reason it’s highly praised… I think the concept is wonderful, but the execution lacking. Nothing groundbreaking nor new really. Glad someone else sees the same!

fully on board with your acofas review. acotar was kinda hard to get into, but about halfway through i was pretty invested and fully enjoyed the final third of it. the second book was absolutely gorgeous, and the third was pretty great too. when i got to acofas i wasn't sure what to expect, but it was not putting the book down every couple of pages to cringe lol i kept thinking "when is something gonna happen?" and after realizing nothing would, i just wanted to get it over with. i'm on a court of silver flames now and it's definitely much better so far. i hope to see you review that one next! 💖

Hey Eliza ♥ I felt similarly about 'The Coffee Gets Cold' - I was invited by the cute cover but disappointed from there - just found it to be repetitive, characters to not have nuance and every concept to be over-explained when it could have been left unsaid. I wonder if the beauty of the writing was lost in translation of the book from Japanese to English, or whether the first books in the series were better? Have you read many of John Steinbeck's novels? 'East of Eden' is one of my favourites and I'd certainly recommend it because of the way he develops characters so well. I'm also starting to read Moby Dick for the first time - have you read it and if so, do you like it? Love your videos 😸
