Video 5 of 22 for VEDA ~ Vlogging Every (week)Day in August. Today's video is a Dollar Tree DIY. I'm making a DIY plastic bag dispenser from Dollar Tree products. Is there a plastic bag ban in your state? I'm hearing this is a thing. Clean with me and organize with me as I organize this cabinet full of plastic bags with a DIY plastic bag dispenser. This is a $2 DIY, you can't beat that!

I shoved all of my bags can an empty tide pod container that came with 96 Tide Pods. This is much cuter.

I feel like the top part just makes it more difficult and there’s no way I’m taking time to fold bags lol.

If you fold them into each other, like facial tissues in a tissue box, wouldn't it have the same kind of effect of popping up the next bag when you take one, so that the top of the next bag is sticking up and you don't have to reach in with your fingers???

I can’t believe I’m just now seeing this hack..considering it’s been only 2 years since published 🤦🏻‍♀️. I’ve seen the same ways of “storing” these bags, over & over & over. I liked how some of them looked. But I’m not the kind of person who wants to “fold here, fold there, tuck the handles here” - Grammy ain’t got time for that. Ok I’ll admit it - I’m too lazy to do all that work. This video I can get on board with. I already fold them in half…no extra work for me 😁😁. Thank you thank you PS: I don’t know if this is available for everyone, but where I live, most of the grocery stores will have a plastic bag recycling bin.

I would do this but my hubby ties the bags tight when we put them in the cart so then he has to rip them open when we get home🙄I do have a couple of bags but not this much😊 I have told him time and time again to not tie them because I use them for our trashcans and he still does it. He says he has to tie it so stuff doesn't fall out. It's a constant argument between us😤😳🤦

😆 Hopefully you'll find a resolution. :) We don't even have plastic bags anymore since the stores got rid of them. We used all the ones we had and we now have paper bags that we save. :)

The drawback.. you put new plastic on top and you take plastic from the top, so it's not FIFO (first in first out)

Maybe not permanent but it helps out a lot. Plastic bags are sold in my state now so we usually don't have many around anymore. This DIY worked for us up until they started charging for them.

Too much work! There is a simpler way. I can make all those bags fit in shoe box and still have plenty of space left over. I found this simple method on youtube, just don't remember where.
