If those miserable chidren in 3rd world countries didn't have these terrible jobs to do, they would do something even worse or die. But i guess it's insulting to human dignity to even consider the real alternatives of ways to survive. You can spend more money mroe quickly or do charity, but that helps only to individuals or only short term and can hurt everyone in long term (like charity actually did a lot of bad in africa by killing local economy and thus hurting development of skills and entrepreneurial culture). Long term change happens when bad government ends and thanks to technology that brings new opportunities. The situation is all unfair and bad. That's true. But i don't see what is the awareness actually contributing to.

Santa claus is communist. Workers have quotas to meet, santa is red, all the workers are equal, nobody knows what happens to the ones that dont pull their weight, and santa distributes products as he sees fit
