Hello again! I know most everyone here in the comments call you grandpa but here in southeast Kentucky we say papaw or papa so I hope you don’t mind me calling you papaw. I lost my mother’s father who I called papaw back in 1997 and yesterday Jan31 he would have been 108 yrs old if alive today. I lost my dads dad who I called pap back in 1998 but I was so blessed before their passing both sets of my grandparents got to love and enjoy being great grandparents to my daughter who is now an adult herself. I love my grandmothers as well and I miss them all so very much. This channel was a blessing to find because you make me think of my papaw and pap. I’m so greatful everyone in the comments are so kind and loving as well. ❤

Thank you for this video grandpa! My grandad died about two years ago now, and my memory isn't all too good, but I remember when we'd stay over at our grandparents house when we were younger and they'd read us stories with their (at the time) five cats just snuggled up near us. Fun fact, my grandparents had about 45 cats in their entire lifetime, and they were always crazy cat people :) at one point they had 12 cats in one go and they got someone to make this massive pillow of all of these cats together, and when my nannys favourite cat died, she got someone to paint a professional painting of the cat. Either way though, thank you for the comfort grandpa! I appreciate it alot :)

This made me cry.... The only grandfather I've met was my grandmother's second husband. None of my grandmother's children was his and I am not sure how he was with them when they were teenagers (that's when they married). But he was so aggressive with us, the grandchildren, and with my grandmother. Only verbally and emotionally but it was enough. We tiptoed when he was Home. Even with that, i loved him so much, unconditionally. I loved him with all my little heart. And just now, when I'm a mother, I realize how much I always wanted his affection. Never got it. I know he loved us, but he rarely showed it, and in ways I can only understand now. Only my oldest daughter met her grandfather, my father in law. Exceptional man, but not the story reading type either, unfortunately. Watching this is so soul healing. ❤ Thank you!
