Күн бұрынThis soft spoken history ASMR video is a biography of Elizabeth I. The lovely Emma a.k.a. WhispersRedASMR made me the honour to participate in it; all the quotes she reads in the video are attributed to Elizabeth I. Here is her channel, which happens to be one of my favourite: / @whispersredasmr
Elizabeth I is the last monarch of the Tudor dynasty and probably the most famous of all British sovereign. She found a weakened kingdom, divided over religious issues and threatened to lose its independance, and left a pacified and much more prosperous country to her successor James I. Her 44 years-long reign, sometimes called the elizabethan era, is considered to be a golden age for England. I also tell you a bit in this video about other famous characters such as Mary I ("Bloody Mary") or Mary Stuart.

Actually Elizabeth was, for most of her reign, broadly pro French in her foreign policy to counteract the power of Charles V of Spain.

The volume difference between your voice and hers was jarring. I would start chilling out listening to you and she would talk at a higher volume and it was like a car crashed into my building😬

Awesome video, and touche' good sir. I was falling asleep during your fine history lesson so you scared the pants off of me with a sudden woman's voice out of the darkness of my room as pay back haha. ***** Thank you; you are right about the volume difference. I posted this in response to another comment: good point and I am to blame for that. I tried to adjust the volume and for some reason it sounded fine with the editing software, but no longer in the final video... I will pay attention to this next time and test it before I upload.

In school we read the drama about Mary Stuart by Schiller (I'm german soo...) and Elisabeth was shown more like the antagonist there and it's nice to hear her story now from a different ankle👌

Nobody ever remembers Lady Jane Grey when they talk about Queen Elizabeth ;-; great-granddaughter to Henry through Mary I, nicknamed the Nine Day Queen, as she was crowned July 10th 1553 and dethroned July 19th. In November that year she was executed on crimes of high treason.

I'm also a Brit and the sooner my taxes aren't going towards a family of blood sucking parasites, the better! If you want an absolute monarchy, why not move to somewhere like Bahrain? They're not only pals with our royals but I hear they treat their people REAL nice! Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I've never heard the Tower of London referred to as the London Tower but apart from that brilliant topic, I always enjoy Tudor and Elizabethan history. I second a history of Boudicaa or perhaps other women in history like Joan of Arc or Eleanor of Aquitane?

man I would love to make a video about Elizabeth I being a women of Color, considering that is never really talked about. It would bring to light some issues of race and bring about a paradigm between the daughter and mother countries of British ties. I think everyone would enjoy it!

Francis Alpatro I would love too, but I would have to add music for it to make sense, like I did some time ago in a video about Bach. And the problem is that when you put music into a video, even free of rights, you get immediately harassed by copyright trolls who claim it as theirs... So I keep the project on hold for now.

im sorry but I've never liked Elizabeth. i admire her courage and bravery but thats it. Mary queen of scots was the TRUE hier henry just created a church to mary a women who he would kill. It pains me honestly mary shouldn't have died Elizabeth should of.
