Wow it's almost as if it's not only a related topic considering the video is about the science behind planets, but that it's the most important topic collectively we as a species have ever been faced as it's not only a product of our own doing but a force that could cause the 6th mass extinction, including that of humans (you're one of those, by the way, and extinction means you'd be dead.)

Some parts of Mercury are actually cold enough to maintain ice. Those would be the insides of craters that never see the light of the sun. It just goes to show, distance from the sun is only part of what makes a planet hot. A huge player is atmosphere. If there is little or no atmosphere, night time on a planet that's closer to the sun can get very cold.
