In case anyone was more curious, a Ghost Kitchen is a term used to describe a detached kitchen/a kitchen detached from a traditional restaurant front often used for either delivery only (think those restaurants on Uber Eats that dont exist in person) or order fulfillment (this pizza in the video) they can sometimes be different operating companies, but for larger brands it will be a location they own and run but is independent of the traditional sit down business their other locations handle.

In Rhode Island we cut these into strips and call them party pizza. You can find them at all sorts of cafes and many pizza shops, traditionally at DePetrillo's bakery. Its a staple food for things like kids birthday parties, everyone's tried it.

We called it bakery pizza growing up. Nothing was better in the summer than getting out of my aunt's pool to gouge on strips. It's closed now but my grandparents always got Crugnale's.

Best tomato pie. Pleasantly surprised to come across a food asmr video with something local to me 😊 Guy that lives behind me drives a delivery truck for them. So I think they are making them at one of their locations, then delivering to grocery stores.

at first I thought just tomato on bread was kinda weird and nasty, but then I realized I eat stuff like just butter on bread and just jelly on bread and just peanut butter on bread and just eggs on bread, so this actually seems pretty tasty.

Jelly can be the same as Jam but most of the time Jam is just jammed jelly so you don't have to jam it yourself when you open the jar.

as a person living in Michigan I've never seen a tomato pie sold. everything has to have cheese on it here. but honestly I'm going to make my own tomato pie tomorrow, using homemade bread and marinara sauce 🥸

Oh my gosh, I literally grew up on tomato pie! We had it at every single family function we ever had! I grew up in limerick Pennsylvania, and there was a Corropolese right down the street from me! I still sometimes get a quarter sheet all to myself lunch with extra Parmesan 😊

It's a normal "red pizza", the one you can find in a bakery. In Italy is super-common ab super-cheap.

This is a staple food in Rhode Island, never knew other parts of the country had it! We call it “bakery pizza” “party pizza” or “pizza strips” when they can be bought in pre-cut strips. Anyone not from the area is so confused by it.

Hey Rifter, a ghost kitchen is basically a place that serves the food of other resturants under the restaurant’s brand, but is made at a different location. For example Chili’s has a ghost kitchen called its just wings, which you can only order on doordash. If you go to chilis you couldnt order anything on the its just wings menu. Its strange and convoluted, as is capitalism in general however

Tomato pie is actually super popular in Utica NY - it’s made in a very specific way and it’s incredible . If you ever find yourself driving across Upstate NY and are near Utica, do yourself a favor and grab the following: - Tomato Pie (from Roma’s) - Chicken Riggies (Bella Regina’s) - Utica Greens (also Bella Regina’s) - Halfmoon cookies (Hannaford Supermarket) I promise you will not be disappointed! 😊

In Virginia, a tomato pie is literally a pie made with sliced tomatoes. Like an apple pie but replace apples with tomatoes. And sometimes it has mayo or another white sauce in it. And sometimes it has cheese baked on top of the topmost layer of piecrust. Momma used to make it at Thanksgiving.

I used to joke at people who genuinely ask for cheese pizza when ordering out to eat. I used to make fun of them because there's so many reasons as to why you should have a topping with your pizza, and if they wanted to be basic, pepperoni was a thing. Then I learned this cursed thing exists. Cheese lovers, apologies.

Ghost kitchen Explained an existing restaurant has a kitchen, but another restaurant doesn't , so for a cut of the profit, (usually 20%) the restaurant makes the food and it is picked up from or delivered from the restaurant that has a kitchen. Hope that helps clear it up for anyone who doesn't understand:)
