not sure if anyone explained but seal flakes are used to seal envelopes in place of the old wax style stamp seals. just adds a little flare to any letters you send.

For what it's worth in Japan they don't use the term 'sticker' and instead use 'seal'. I've been teaching here for a few years and that threw me off when I first got here 😅
