hahaha actually putting them back into their storage bins again haha, keeping a couple for display pieces in my living room but for the most part re organizing back in the storage :) thanks for acknowledging that! :D

Truthfully its not worth as much as you probably think. I'm also an avid movie collector and most VHS (even the Disney Black Diamond edition VHS) don't actually sell for that much. For collectors its definitely about the passion and nostalgia for film rather than monetary value.

@@kyleliegel Well, now it might not be worth. But VHS is out of development and these are small relics of past. I bet there will be a markup as time goes on because the later it is in life the less people will have these. Just a theory but you got a point.

@@glacialsnowman3709 Unfortunately VHS just have little practicality anymore unlike other forms of analog and physical media like records. And people can easily express their love of film physically via other ways like movie posters for example. I think as time goes on VHS will actually depreciate in value more than they already have.

Probably not as much as you'd think; when I go thrifting the VHS tapes are 5 cents a piece. HOWEVER, he does seem to have a lot of tapes that I have never seen in a secondhand store, and I'm sure there's plenty of people who would be willing to pay more. They do also seem to be in very good shape, in comparison to some of the tapes I've sifted through at the store. My entire childhood VHS collection cost me $5, but that's because they were all thrifted 😳

@@kyleliegel I like VHS tapes because they last REALLY long in comparison to my DVDs. For some reason, we've had to replace many DVDs because they were easily scratched. Static on a VHS tape is more tolerable than constant freezing/skipping. However, the picture quality deteriorates significantly over time...it kinda adds to the nostalgia though.

I would love to know if Ryan loved the older horror movies more or the newer movies. I personally love The Texas Chainsaw Massacre from 2003 more than the older ones. It seems like the early 2000 horror movies just had a more scary vibe than the older movies but also more scary than the newer movies☺️

The nostalgia from simply seeing VHS films. My 5 go to VHS videos as a kid were Tarzan, Hercules, The Love Bug, Toy Story 2 and Mulan!

Have a great video to fall asleep to tonight. The smallest detail makes any video a million times better than my day: If the main person or person in general isn’t the person who claimed to be my best friend and then basically told me she didn’t care if we were friends or not and has been super fake recently. Needless to say, this is way better than my day 🙂

Ryan, you're such a nice and wholesome guy. Wish I could be your friend, our movie taste is almost the same. Awesome video, man. Wish I still had my VHS movies, most of them got lost in time. Now I still have only a few of them, including the horror movie Jack Frost (which is my treasure).

The first proper movie I remember watching was the original Mary Poppins. My mum passed away when I was 9 but when we would watch the movie which was very often, we would sing along with all the songs so it’s a sentimental movie to me too.

My MAN! The Little Vampire is such a good movie, I 100% agree with all of your comments on it. Also yeah, My Favorite Martian was so weird, but I don't know, it was kinda quirky in a way childhood me liked for some reason. Also YES, POWER RANGERS! You're literally my favorite person ever lmao

I recently finished this..and I was half asleep..but when you showed your Titanic VHS and you were like “Jack I’m having such a great time” to “Jack we need to get the hell out of here”..I literally laughed so hard. You def gave me Jim Carrey vibes 😭😂

I have 37 copies of Titanic. 6 VHS TAPE SETS AND 31 DVD COPIES FROM THE FIRST EDITION ALL THE WAY UP TO THE BLU RAY!!! Everytime i come across one in a store i grab it!!
