I agree. I’m a big fantasy/ sci fi fan and I haven’t read several of these. This video made me actually hit amazon to see if I can get some gently used copies. This was great !

Rambling ASMR is probably my favorite kind of ASMR. It just feels more genuine than the role plays. Like a conversation. Keep doing these or ramblings on other topics or interests. Thanks!

Even tho this book isn't fantasy I HIGHLY recommend for everyone to read: Dune. It's not for everyone but if you pick it up, and get involved with the characters and story then you're gonna love it. One of my favorite books ever, and I still haven't finished it jaja.

Sarah, thank you for sharing your favorite books! I love how conversational your videos are. You help me deal with my loneliness. Like having a friend to help distract me for my worries, even if it's only for a little while. My favorite book you listed was definitely either Harry Potter or Fifth Season.

This made me want to re-read “The Name of the Wind” so badly! I read it when I was still in highschool (over four years ago) and I absolutely loved it. I read it in Spanish, so I think now it’s time to read it in English. Thank you for this video, I am always so happy when ASMRtists bring literature into the equation ♥️

Love the video/series! I recommend you Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse books. Eventough I've only read the Six of Crows duology so far (Shadow and Bone is in my bucket list), I really enjoyed the world building, characters and her writing style! Fantasy/fiction is also my favorite genre and these ones are easily worth the time.

I recommend Six of Crows to anyone who likes Fantasy. It fits a lot of Sarah's boxes and is a Russian steampunk heist high fantasy.

@@SarahLavenderASMR The book was indeed amazing! If you do plan on making another Book ASMR video sometime during October, you should defs recommend/read to us some of your favorite horror books. Maybe add in a bit of mystery novels as well. It would definitely be in line with the upcoming spooky season 🎃🎃

As someone who gets paralysed by choice when searching for books and usually ends up with nothing I’m grateful for the recommendations. Also shout out to the Bartimaeus Sequence. Despite being aimed at children it’s really witty and remains my favourite (with honourable mentions to HP and Discworld)

A series I would highly recommend, which includes some sketches within the pages, is A Natural History of Dragons, by Marie Brennan. Written as a memoir from the perspective of a woman escaping the confines of a Victorian-esque society where she is expected to get married and take care of the house and children; she sets off around the world to get first hand experience documenting the anatomy and behaviour of different living dragon species, while dealing with many trials along the way. Really enjoying your videos, a few books here I hadn't came across or considered so thank you so much for sharing! I can't wait to see more! Your soft spoken voice is so wonderfully relaxing, and who doesn't want inspiration to buy more books! Time to do some shopping, and get back into reading!
