I can’t for the life of me figure out why lipsticks look so much lighter on me than models and swatches on my arm - something can be fuchsia on my cheeks and mod 60’s pale pink on my lips - thing is my lips seem to have no color and are pale (so I need color), but that means colors should look brighter, not muted. I can’t EVER go by pictures online - the ones that look too dark or bright end up being just right. Pillow Talk looks purple mauve yucky on me.

Hi there! I relate to this so much. The best tip I was ever told is to work with the undertones in my face instead of my arms. My arm undertone is cool but my face undertone is warm despite being really pale. The true game changer is lip stains because you can build them up or play them down. I hope this helps you in your lipstick journey!
