It’s meant to look like an orange. Also the surface of bananas are not perfectly smooth all around, and those markings could maybe be representing the rounded vertical edges of the banana. Still, I can see why it’s confusing 😅

The textured stones remind me of cell diagrams from biology class, maybe you could model the textures and shapes after the mitochondria, vacuoles, and other organelles, it wouldn't be much different and it could be a fun theme
