A video of yours just randomly got put on my timeline and I am so happy it did!! I've checked out 3 of your videos so far and they are amazingggg!!! I've been watching asmr for 5 years give or take so a channel that impresses me isnt as common as it used to be. I love that you record in the bathroom, I think with the way bathrooms are insulated (or something) makes sound echo and stick around in the room much more than in a room such as a bedroom. Keep beinf who you are and doing what makes you happy!❤

The little tangents are adorable hehe. The cotton pads are used for nail polish removal and can be used to apply makeup remover to your face at the end of the day. I used to soak em in peroxide for cuts and use that to apply it instead of pouring it straight to the wound if it’s an awkward spot like nicking yourself while shaving. But they’re a definitely no gender assignment for those so don’t feel weird about having them bc they do come in handy :))

It would be more accurate to call it a 'voice triangle' actually, haha. Voice box = your larynx, it's an organ inside your throat, it opens and closes, and vibrates to make noise. If you compare the sound 'ssssss' to 'zzzzzz' you can feel the vibration of your vocal cords. In linguistics we would call the 'ssss' sound 'voiceless' because there is no vibration, and 'zzz' is voiced because there is :D

Also fun random fact, in the International Phonetic Alphabet (which we have to learn in Linguistics), there is a sound called a "bilabial click" it sounds like a lip smack/kiss. We had to practice making them in university and I'll never forget seeing a student's face as he passed by our lecture hall to see 60 other students making kissing noises at their prof 😅

Not a doctor, but yes you are right. Our trachea is a hollow tube the vibrates with the air coming out of our lungs to produce noise, the vocal cords are an extension of that to change the pitch and frequency. As for the dog part, I'm not quite sure how that works...

To answer a tangent you brought up, some people do debark dogs by cutting the vocal cords in their larynx (which is shaped like a wide hollow tube, hence the term voice box). It’s illegal in a few US states, as well as much of Europe as a form of mutilation.
