Origins is amazing, the world of Egypt is so detailed and Bayek’s story is great - underrated for sure!

@@bevanmcnicholl2525 the series started to fall off when unity/syndicate came out - both were stale and lacked a gripping story or setting, and the gameplay was lackluster - origins took that and remade it into a great game, then odyssey made it worse

@@harrisoncarney9492 Origins destroyed the franchise in my eyes because it led to Odyssey and Valhalla the worst AC game ever made. Orgins fails in its combat, game feel and holding it self back. Also the comparison in quality between Syndicate and Origins is sad. The graphics are worse, animations and voice actings even more so. Orginas and Odyssey are good games to run around for 10 hours but not for 100+ doing bullshit with bad writing and even worse game design.

Great video as usual Ben! One of my favorite video game franchises! My rankings (only including which games I’ve played so far) 1. Assassin’s Creed III 2. Assassin’s Creed II 3. Assassin’s Creed: Origins 4. Assassin’s Creed Revelations 5. Assassin’s Creed: Unity 6. Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood 7. Assassin’s Creed Liberations After a long hiatus, I just recently picked up on my playthrough of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey. I am almost done with the main story and it will most likely end up at my #4 spot (in between Origins and Revelations) I enjoyed all the games that I’ve played despite where they rank on my list. The only game I didn’t enjoy all that much was Liberation and that’s most likely because it was limited by what a Vita could do for an AC game. Super hyped for Shadows, the preorder is secured. I have high hopes despite controversies!

I feel like ac, fall out and far cry all fell into putting collectables and similar missions (usually collect or tail missions) all over there games to create an illusion of substance over and over every game, then they can sell it on ‘80 hours of gameplay!’ When it’s completing the same tower or whatever 50 times.

It's so funny that Odyssey is ranked so low because it's a terrible AC game but it's unbelievable as a standalone open world. Probably my favourite ever Open world rpg.

I really feel like the people working on the settings and map are let down by the gameplay guys on the more recent games because of the quick turnaround on each game.
