Back in the early 90's I taped a penny to a mail in sweepstakes from a magazine like this for the Spice Girls! And I waited for that thing every single day for months! But it never came. I was so sad. 😭Wow! This brought me back to those good old days when life was simpler. 🤗

It would have cost more then a penny for that in the 90's thats why you never got it, and there's fine print you'd had to pay shipping too.

I'm a millennial born in the 80s. growing up in the 90s and early 2ks we had a nice balance of tech. Social media existed but it was more for fun and creativity at that time. We read magazines too. The source and xxl were some popular magazines when I was in middle school and high school.

Ah, the music clubs and the book clubs. Those were a staple. Years later, in the 90s, I used Columbia House again when they were doing CDs. If you worked it carefully, it wasn't a bad deal overall. But don't buy more than than the minimum necessary.
