It’s so interesting to me to hear the stories of completely normal average people from back then. It makes me feel some sort of connection with the past. I’m only 27, but things feel so out of touch with reality these days. This is a nice listen in the morning. Thank you,

I recently started watching "Little House on the Prairie" from the beginning on Amazon Prime. It is so nice to watch this series & go back in time & forget about the stress of our modern times!! If you have any stress in your life I highly recommend watching it!! Even if you don't think you'll be interested in it, just give it a chance!!

hi mary! i recently found your channel through the "making tomato sandwiches" video. its unfortunate the comments were turned off because i wanted to tell you how happy it made me (and how hungry too. might have to make myself some sandwiches soon). ive watched a few more of your videos and i have never felt more comfortable and sleepy.. im thinking ill sleep like a baby tonight. your presence is so comforting. :') plus soft spoken / conversational videos have a special place in my heart either way im glad to see you still uploading content. take care of yourself and rest up!!

I love this. This reminds me a lot of fried green tomatoes, which is one of my favorite books/movies. I know that movie takes place in Alabama, not North Carolina, but it still has that old timey southern feel to it like fried green tomatoes.

hey again my dear Mary, Your accent really comes more evident with your voice being hoarse somewhat!! You were supposed to chill out for the night and take care of yourself!!! Did anyone catch the names of the twins in the first story? Arlene and Earline! Lol! You can’t holler for one without both of them come running.Their sister was Irene. The mom was probably thinking, why did I do that?! 😂
