The most satisfying thing about getting your haircut is when they pull back all your hair and you just hear their scissors in your ears. ASMR in real life is usually the only thing that gives me tingles but this came pretty close

I mean the mic on the wrist certainly helps capture the sound up close, but the reason most people are freaking out about this video is all of the panning automation, extra reverb, and effects applied to the audio. This helps make it more immersive. Don't get me wrong, I love this video and have been watching it a ton to relax. the thing that makes this video's audio pop though is the production, not the mic choice or placement.

ShadowFire2352 I know the creators of this vid liked your comment, so you probably feel vindicated, but go out and try to make your own vid with even the highest quality mic on your wrist and see if the audio turns out sounding like anything close to this. I guarantee you it will yield some good raw audio, but in order for it to really pop and sound as magical as this vid does, you’re going to need to do quite a bit of mixing. You don’t just place mics in the right place and then boom presto the audio is perfect. It is a process of engineering the sound to represent what is happening on-screen. Again, I’m not throwing shade at the creators of the vid, but I am giving some clarification for all of the people in this comment section thinking that putting mics on your wrist magically does all of the work for you. If anything, it’s a testament to how good the creators of this vid are at editing audio.

I like how she cuts the hair really slow because you can hear it see it better while other videos people are cutting air or they are cutting way to fast to even be able to see it and hear the satisfying part of it all. Thanks you for going really slow for us to watch the action.

Using spray bottles to spritz the hair works very well... also the audio setup for the sheers was pretty spot on getting the sound right.

I was debating with my self, whether the video was in slow motion, or the movements were just so clean and slow. Every time I came to a conclusion, something happened and made me doubt again. But it is in slowmotion, atleast a big part of the video is.

sofusjogvan fisker hansen - the hair falling back down is the easiest indicator. She could cut slow, she could wash slow, but hair (and water) won't respect how slow it should be 😂. But I think some parts are normal speed or just barely slowed down. I want to know who is hovering around this dude with a camera while he's getting a haircut and - if this isn't a posed thing where the guy is an employee or something - what sort of arrangements do they make with their customers? Including customers who are waiting for their turn? "No talking allowed" I want to wash a long video of just a shampoo. The scissor sound isn't as pleasant.
