I remember the day when I first visited Sarwan. It was when my channel was very new and I was looking for new and good barbers who can give a relaxing head massage. To be honest, I never thought that Sarwan would gain this much love and popularity. There is no doubt about his knowledge and work but the location was not good to go for an ASMR video. I'm still trying to learn what triggers the most as ASMR. I guess the things you don't get can trigger your ASMR. For example, if you live in an urban area far from woods and jungle, the sound of raindrops on leaves and wind noise might help you get relaxed and if you live in a where there is no traffic and complete isolation, the traffic noise might help you get relaxed. Or it might be the opposite that we get so used to with day to day traffic noise that at the night when there is no or very less traffic, we might start feeling uneasy. It typically begins 'on the scalp' before moving 'down the spine' to the base of the neck, sometimes spreading 'to the back, arms and legs as intensity increases', most commonly triggered by specific acoustic, visual and digital media stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attentional control.

Hello Santosh, My ASMR feeling comes when i hear the tapping/slapping on the head (or somewhere else). The sound is awesome. The combination with car horns sometimes do the trick when they are not very loud, haha.

While the actual massage noises are a common ASMR trigger there are also visual ASMR triggers that work well in these kinds of videos. For me it's a combination of the entire atmosphere. Sarwan's shop may be noisy but this video, in my opinion, shows a lot of the strengths of it. The muffled sounds of the cars, the dull mechanical drone of the fan, the sound of the massage, and the background conversations all come together to make a very enjoyable experience. It may not result in the strongest ASMR triggers/tingling but it's immensely relaxing despite that.

I always see this focus on ASMR and feel the need to state this but I do not watch this channel for ASMR. I watch it because I enjoy massage, it was my ideal occupation and I enjoy seeing it in all forms and I like how it varies based on area in the world. I know a lot of people do watch for ASMR but I'm also sure there is a chunk of folks like myself who simply enjoy the massages :)
